A Mothers Viewpoint
Ann Cheek

I just wanted to say thank you and tell you how great the movie screenings are. People take for granted taking the family out to the movies and something that is so normal and easy for most is one of the fun things families with special needs children miss out on.

Your screenings allow us to take our family to see a first run movie without worrying about what is going to happen.

We took Ann to see the Princess and the Frog Saturday and as I watched the families I thought how wonderful it is that this is available. Instead of worrying that we are troubling someone we felt as if we were truly welcomed.

Thank you Variety for this opportunity.

A Thankful Grandma

First of all I can't begin to thank you enough for all the great work you do!  My granddaughter has Down Syndrome and has benefitted greatly due to your efforts.

Today, I am writing regarding the free movie screenings. [I want to mention] how awesome it is that they adjust the sound and lighting.

My granddaughter is extremely sensitive to loud sounds and often has to wear ear plugs when we go places that are very noisy.  It's like it physically hurts her. I've witnessed other Down's kids go through the same thing.

That was originally what attracted my daughter to check out the screenings.  They play the movies so loud nowadays that it was a problem when taking her to the movies.  I bet most people don't realize how sounds and lights affect these kids.

Anyway, it's a big selling point for us!

Thanks again!
