Sponsors Spotlight

DLP Cinema

Variety is pleased to welcome DLP Cinema, a division of Texas Instruments, as Variety's newest Diamond Level Corporate Member.  This commitment to Variety and the children we serve provides support to all of Variety's Variety-at-Work events.
A Day at the Races
Daniel, His Family & Kyle Busch  13-year-old Granbury resident, Daniel, leads his life as a six-month old child according to his mother.
His parents came to Variety looking for assistance with an adaptive stroller that would assist him in sitting up straighter and place him in a better position to see and interact as much as he can with the world around him.
In addition, the stroller would allow him to breather easier, and make it easier on the family in transporting Daniel from place-to-place.
Did Variety help? You bet we did. But, we did more than just provide his family with assistance in procuring the stroller.
Thanks to a generous donation from Variety Corporate Member, DLP Cinema, Variety and DLP hosted his family in style at the April 5 O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Daniel and his family were guests in the DLP Suite for all the race day activities, and got to meet NASCAR and Nationwide Series driver Kyle Busch.
And, guess what...Kyle eventually went on to win the race that day. The first time a DLP sponsored car has won a race.
Did Daniel provide Kyle with the luck he needed? We sure do think so.
