Father Jack Update
Father Jack continues to improve at the Mt. Vernon rehabilitation Hospital. He is still limited visitors becasue of the danger of catching any bug would have on his overall health. Today Fr. Peffley spent some time with Fr. Jack and reports he walks a little more each day but his breathing and balance are still a big issue. Fr. Jack is going to have a long road to recovery and need a lot of our prayers. If you wish to send a card or note to Fr. Jack you may drop them off at the Parish Office and Fr. Peffley will make sure it gets delivered.

Gift Card Program and your Christmas Giving Plans
Don't forget to use the Holy Trinity's Gift Card program to buy your gifts this year. Need to buy an outfit get Kohl's or other retail card to make your purchase. Need to give a Gift Card as a gift we have Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Toys Stores and many other local retailers.  If you need a gift card we have them, you can buy them after Masses or at the parish office. These cards don't cost you anything extra and they help pay off the Holy Trinity debt.
Christmas Gift Giving Tree Update:
Thank you all who took tags for the Giving Tree.  Please return them, unwrapped, by December 15th.  Gift cards should be handed to a Giving Tree volunteer before or after masses, or taken to the parish office.  Please do not leave them under the tree if no one is there.  If you took a tag for a gift card and Scrip/Gift Cards are on-sale at the mass you attend, you may be able to get your gift card right there or you may go to the parish office to also support the Gift Card program.   If you have questions, email Kimberly at dalrymple5@comcast.net
Blood Drive
The Knights of Columbus Annual Christmas Blood Drive is scheduled for Sunday, December 20 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Go to the Inova Blood Services website to make an appointment.

Why Give Blood? There is no substitute for blood. It can only come from one place and that's a volunteer blood donor. A growing population is creating an increased demand for blood and blood products in our community. Because the need for blood is so great, a consistent inventory is vital. Therefore, it is essential we have a steady stream of volunteer blood donors, as well as community partners who sponsor regular blood drives.
White House Ornaments
White House The High School Youth Group will again be selling White House ornaments this holiday season to support its Workcamp program. Your support is greatly appreciated! All proceeds assist our Summer Workcamp program to serve the poor.
Spiritual Treasures
The Gift Shop is looking for a donation of a laptop to be used for inventory and bookkeeping.  Due to software requirements, PC is preferred.  If interested, contact giftshop@holytrinityparish.net.  Thank you and God bless!
Thank You
Thank you to all the families who took M&M canisters to help with the funds for our basement build out.  There is a receptacle in the vestibule for returning your canisters when they are ready.

The youth appreciate all the efforts. The youth program is also currently looking for the donation of a Ping Pong table.
Pledge Payment Update
Pledge payment Coordinator - Holy Trinity parishioners have been very generous in making sacrificial pledges to both RIF-FIH and parish direct pledges. For this, we humbly thank you! However, we also have seen a recent "slowdown" in pledge payments received. As we are now paying a monthly mortgage of $ 79,928.12, we need to reinvigorate our efforts to receive the pledge payments. Father Peffley has appointed parishioner Pete Verfurth as Pledge Payment Coordinator. Mr. Verfurth is tasked with the responsibility of contacting parishioners as needed and bringing their pledge payments up to date. Mr. Verfurth has previously worked on the Capital Campaign Committee and is aware of all the payment options available to the parishioners to get the pledge payments current.
Mr. Verfurth will be contacting some parishioners at the request of Father Peffley to insure that Holy Trinity has the financial resources to pay our debt
Modell's
For the next month Modell's is offering Holy Trinty a great deal. They have given us a special coupon that gets you a 10% discount on purchases and then 5% goes back to the church (Coupon at www. holytrinityparish.net). We also sell Gift Cards through our Gift Card program for Modell's which would then increase the percentage back to Holy Trinity. So if you are planning on getting any sports gear for the Christmas season please consider helping out Holy Trinity.
Offer good through December 10, 2009
Staying Healhty this Winter
We would like to remind you to please stay home if you are feeling sick. It is not a sin to miss Mass if you are sick and it is important to stay home and get yourself well again and not spread germs further. This also applies to activities at the church including CCD.
We also remind you that the Sign of Peace is optional during Mass and that if you wish you can just say "Peace be with you"  and nod to your neighbor.
Thank you for being considerate to your fellow parishioners during this cold and flu season.
