Vote Tuesday
As Catholics, our baptismal responsibility to love God and neighbor includes participation in the political process in light of Gospel values and the Church's moral and social teaching.
Please remember how important it is to vote and take part in the process.

To assist parishioners in the Dioceses of Arlington and Richmond as they gather information and form their consciences before voting, the Virginia Catholic Conference's website (www.vacatholic.org) contains a comprehensive "Pre-Election Resources" section. Links in this section include a five-part series on Catholic social teaching and current state issues (Faithful Citizenship in Virginia: Issues for the 2009 Elections); responses to a questionnaire (Arlington Diocese) - (Richmond Diocese) sent to all candidates for statewide office and for contested House of Delegates seats; and a pre-election letter issued by Bishops DiLorenzo and Loverde (Participating Faithfully in the Political Process: A Letter from the Catholic Bishops of Virginia to the Faithful of Their Dioceses).

"In the Catholic Tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue,
and participation in political life is a moral obligation.
This obligation is rooted in our baptismal commitment
to follow Christ and to bear Christian witness in all we do."

Staying Healhty this Winter
We would like to remind you to please stay home if you are feeling sick. It is not a sin to miss Mass if you are sick and it is important to stay home and get yourself well again and not spread germs further. This also applies to activities at the church including CCD.
We also remind you that the Sign of Peace is optional during Mass and that if you wish you can just say "Peace be with you"  and nod to your neighbor.
Thank you for being considerate to your fellow parishioners during this cold and flu season.
Mass of Remmeberance
Have you lost a loved one over the last year?  Holy Trinity's annual Mass of Remembrance for the deceased will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 7 PM.  If you would like to have your loved one mentioned during the Mass or for further information, please call Margaret Eggleston at 703-754-1856.
No 6:30 AM Masses
Starting November 4th through the end of December we will not be holding the 6:30 AM Mass. We appologize for any inconvienence.
Mass overflow and Damages to the church
We understand that Mass can be crowded and it is very tempting to sit along the sides on the registers. This structure is not made to support a person and we are sustaining damage to these areas due to people using them to sit on. Please DO NOT SIT on the registers along the sides. We provide overflow seating in St. Patrick's Hall with closed circuit TV and sound piped in from the church. We also welcome you to explore the options of other Masses which are not as crowded.
