Fr. Jack Needs our Prayers
Father Jack Fullen is going to have heart valve replacement surgery on November 3rd. We are asking everyone to pray for Fr. Jack and his speedy recovery. Scott Ross is preparing a spiritual bouquet if you would like to be part of this offering to F. jack please send your bouquet offering to knighted@comcast.net. If you have never been part of a spiritual bouquet before all you need to do if tell Scott what prayers. sacrifices or deeds you will be doing for Fr. Jack, for example Rosaries, 1 Sacrifice, 2 Masses, 1 Holy Hour and a kind deed.
Parish Events Meeting
Parish Events Meeting - October 18th, 2:00 PM in the Holy Trinity Parish Conference Room. Mark Forrest will be joining us to talk about the Christmas Concert so if you're interested in helping with this event, please come! Share Sunday -- This week is National Food Bank Week
Share Sunday is this weekend. Please drop off non-perishable foods after all Masses Saturday and Sunday. During these hard economic times we are in greater need of items to help out the poor of our parish. Please bring Peanut Butter, Pasta, jarred sauce, juice, canned vegtables, soups and stews, etc....
We need your winter coats
The Holy Trinity Conquest Boys Club is asking that you generously donate old or used coats to the poor and needy this upcoming cold season. All the coats will go The House of Mercy, a local nonprofit organization serving the poor. We will be collecting coats after all Masses the weekends of October 10th and the 17th.
Men's Evening of Reflection
October 21st
ATTENTION ALL MEN OF HOLY TRINITY.
You are invited to attend a monthly evening of reflection, offered on the third Wednesday of each month. Each session will include: Mass in the Church followed by dinner, 2 guided meditations, and an opportunity for confession. The theme for this year is "Spirituality 101 for Men" and the topic for Oct 21st is "God the Father...but I've had enough of 'Father' for a lifetime!"  Please contact Dustin Atkinson for more information: 703-753-8537
Adoration help needed 
We have the following openings for the Adoration schedule, please prayerfully consider committing to an hour a week:
 
Late nights (12am-6am): 
Saturday 12am-1am (i.e. very late Friday night)
Thursday 2am-3am
Thursday 3am-4am
Wednesday 4am-5am
 
Mornings: 
Tuesday 6am-7am
Thursday 6am-7am
Wednesday 8am-9am
 
Afternoons:
Mondays 1-2pm
Tuesdays 2-3pm
Flu Shots Post-Poned
The Inova Flu Shot Clinic scheduled here for Holy Trinity on October 24th. & 25th. is now on hold due to the shortage of seasonal flu vaccine.  We are planning to reschedule the clinic as soon as Inova receives more vaccine.
You can also check at findaflushot.com to find available sites that may have the vaccine.
Memorial Giving Opportunities
We are pleased to offer a number of new Dedicated and Memorial Giving Opportunities.
