Greetings!

A Christmas Wish List

I WISH.....
  • The City of Fresno would catch up to the Running Horse before it gets too far away.
  • Students, like those at the Riverdale Christian Academy where teachers did a slave skit in black face, would be exposed to diversity training and cultural appreciation curriculum and gain a true understanding of 'loving thy neighborhood as thyself'.
  • Every time an African-American was referred in a local media story that it wouldn't pertain to assault, gang gun fire or other criminal allegations.
  • We had an effective mechanism for educating and training leaders that creates a leadership gain rather than a drain in our geographic and cultural communities.
  • we had a greater interest in the advance of people of African descent that transcends national boundaries.
  • I had a dollar for every time that after telling someone I graduated from Fresno State that they ask "did you play any sports?
  • A recognition within the black community that HIV/AIDS is the single largest threat to the survival of black folks, not only in the United States but to the whole continent of Africa.
