Dear Friends of the Dance This year I am more in awe of this movement modality and the power and intelligence within the feminine body than ever. I am in awe of how familiar this work is to women from the very first class. I have witnessed women moving into such incredible depths of power within their bodies and glimpsing the beauty and awareness on their faces of letting go of the patriarchal paradigm of "power-over" and instead dancing the grace of "power-from-within" The beauty and power is always there. It is the Goddess, sleeping, lying dormant, gestating, waiting for us to perceive her from the depths of our own being. The Dance opens up these sensitivities of perception through what is known as the subtle energies of the body. Spring is the perfect time to feel Her well up within us. The energies of life and re-birth are all around lending to vibrate those particular , subtle strands of bliss within us. Hope to see you at one of the following classes or events! Nita Rubio
Announcement from the Goddess temple of Orange County- "Each year, the Temple holds "Sacred Serpent Woman Power" a gathering for women as our answer to St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick may have "driven the snakes" from Ireland, as the tale goes, but each year, the women of the Temple bring this ancient symbol of female/Goddess/Priestess power back to the fore. Always the best party in town....but now in 2008 our event takes a more purposeful turn. This year the evenings live serpent dancing is dedicated to the women of the Congo for what they have been and are now enduring. The war may be declared "over" yet the sexual terrorism of women and girls continues unabated.....right now" This very special shamanic event will provide spiritual energy for our Congolese sisters-as we sign our messages on a great white sheet that will be sent to the hospital in Africa where they are receiving care for their terrible injuries. This very special Sacred Serpent Woman Power evening will remain in your heart and memory for a long while Featured dancers are Nita Rubio, Pilar Chandler, and Justine Amodeo, with special appearance by visiting Priestess and teacher of Egyptian mysteries, Nicky Scully Saturday March 15th 8:00 p.m. $30. 50% of the proceeds will go to an appropriate charity.

An introduction to The Tantric Dance of Feminine Power. A one evening event. 5:30-9:00 p.m. Sunday April 20th. $50 In this 3 1/2 hour journey you will move quickly and deeply into the sensitivity of the subtle energies of the body. We will experience individual as well as group work to re-connect to the lineages of the female shamanic circle, remember through direct experience the teachings of the ancient yoginis, and support in how to create a personal practice utilizing the body wisdom tools from this powerful movement modality.
