Announcing CFCF's New Educational Brochure

Brochure coverHot off the presses!

The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation has just released a new informational brochure.

Published in July 2011, this brochure, Imagine a World Without Cancer, is designed for a non-scientific audience. It offers a clear and compelling view of personalized medicine and its use in the treatment of carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancers.

This and other educational resources are available on CFCF's website.

New Tool to Help Compare Health Providers

Doctor-Patient PhotoFinding a good doctor can be a difficult task. Locating a physician well-versed in treating carcinoid, pancreatic neuroendocrine, and other related cancers can be even more of a challenge!

Since 2006, CFCF has offered its Doctor Database, a user-friendly tool featuring neuroendocrine specialists recommended by your fellow patients. Click here to add your favorite physician.

Now, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has created a new tool that allows users to compare the quality and cost of health care providers across the United States. Scroll over a map of the country to find nearly 200 free performance reports on physicians and hospitals. The Comparing Health Care Quality: A National Directory website is extremely useful for empowering patients to take initiative in seeking out the highest-quality care available.

This and other useful links are available under "Additional Resources" on CFCF's website.
