Research Blog Update
researchLearn first-hand from collaborator Dr. James Yao of MD Anderson Cancer Center about the CFCF Neuroendocrine Tumor Bioconsortium and the project's purpose of creating partnerships among leading cancer centers and advancing the understanding of neuroendocrine tumors. Click here to read Dr. Yao's blog post.

Currently, CFCF is collaborating with leading cancer research centers in establishing the Bioconsortium. The Bioconsortium links biobanks at five centers which specialize in carcinoid cancer and related neuroendocrine tumors: Dana-Farber Cancer Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Stanford University Cancer Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This exciting collaboration will enable scientists to characterize specific disease pathways, uncover genetic and environmental indicators of disease, identifiy novel drug targets, and tailor treatment programs to the needs of patients.

Dr. Yao will be presenting at the MD Anderson Patient Education Conference in Houston, Texas. click here to learn more about our event on April 30th, 2010.
