Attention All Carcinoid and NET Patients!
CFCF encourages all carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumor patients to join NORD (National Organization of Rare Disorders) in its fight to end lifetime insurance caps as soon as possible.
CFCF understands that many patients must seek out costly therapeutic alternatives in order to receive the best care available. Furthermore, this issue is particularly relevant to patients with carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumors, who may require chronic care and high-cost drug therapies. Therefore, CFCF supports NORD in rejecting lifetime insurance caps in insurance markets. Here are sample letters that you can personalize for your Senator and Representative. |

CFCF in Action
CFCF applauds its recent marathon team participants who ran the Chicago Marathon and, most recently, the Marine Corps Marathon as well as the generous donors who supported these runners.
Together, the teams have raised approximately $40,000. We are so grateful for these efforts, which are instrumental in helping CFCF launch the FIRST large-scale genome study of carcinoid tumors led by Matthew Meyerson, MD, PhD of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In addition, the Steve and Caroline Kaufer Fund for Neuroendocrine Research agreed to match all donations that went toward these events and plans to match additional donations until December 31, 2009.
