Research in Pursuit of a Cure
ResearchIn a recent paper published in Nature Clinical Practice Oncology, the authors summarize the challenges of treating neuroendocrine tumors, discuss available data about therapies used to treat well-differentiated NETs, and the current strategies being used in clinical trials.  Click here to read this paper.

All CFCF-funded research follows a 3-step Research Road Map in order to unlock the genetic causes of carcinoid and related NETs, and to develop novel, targeted therapies.  A recent article in the Boston Globe detailed the importance of such genetic research in finding new treatments for cancers and, in particular, for rare cancers.
