Greetings:

July brings the conclusion to Sean William's Books of the Cataclysm quartet with a special ebook-only release of The Devoured Earth. Three Pyr covers have been nominated for Chesley awards, and our YA line has been getting attention. Let's get started!
Sean William's The Devoured Earth

The Devoured Earth "Williams is a master storyteller, and this novel is a celebration of his wild talent." -Jack Dann, author of The Man Who Melted

"A dark and compelling tale." -Fiona McIntosh, author of Myrren's Gift

"[In The Hanging Mountains,] Williams creates a series of places and peoples that feel utterly different to anything that's come before... Every character is very three-dimensional and no easy clich is used anywhere. Sean Williams is writing an important series here that does a great service to the fantasy genre by encouraging it to break tradition. His powerfully creative world-building should stand as a call to arms for fantasy writers to leave the world of Tolkien-aping lands behind and really start being adventurous. Read all three of The Books Of The Cataclysm and when the fourth is released, buy that, too. I know I will." -SFCrowsnest

Sean Williams concludes the Books of the Cataclysm quartet with The Devoured Earth, a special ebook-only release.

In a glacial lake at the top of the world, salvation and destruction await ...

Haunted by a ghost from the future, Shilly and her man'kin allies are drawn into the snowbound mountains on a mission to save the world. Yod, trapped by the Castillo twins in the Void Benath, may finally be breaking free.

Hard on Shilly's heels are Sal and his father, and an uneasy alliance of Sky Wardens, Panic, and foresters. The stakes are high as ancient forces including the strange and alien glast and a dragon with its own agenda struggle for ascendancy. If the Goddess rises from her Tomb, the fate of the Ice Eaters will be sealed and they will kill anyone who tries to get in their way...

"Drawing on worldwide myths and legends, Australian author Williams (The Resurrected Man) expertly twists the familiar into the grotesque in this deeply spooky story, the first in a new fantasy series." - Publishers Weekly

"Australian sf and speculative fiction writer Williams...creates unique worlds and captivating visions with his thoughtful and imaginative storytelling. A superb addition to most fantasy collections." -Library Journal

When mirror twins Seth and Hadrian Castillo travel to Europe on holidays, they don't expect the end of the world to follow them. Seth's murder, however, puts exactly that into motion.

From opposite sides of death, the Castillo twins grapple with a reality neither of them suspected, although it has been encoded in myths and legends for millennia. The Earth we know is just one of many "realms", three of which are inhabited by humans during various stages of their lives. And their afterlives...

In the tradition of Philip Pullman and Ursula K. Le Guin and inspired by numerous arcane sources, the Books of the Cataclysm begin in the present world but soon propel the reader to a landscape that is simultaneously familiar and fantastic.
