With Thanksgiving a week away, this is a perfect time to think about how to "drop a hint"
 |
| Gobble! |
about what gift(s) you might like your family members to get you for the holidays. I've found that family and friends really appreciate it when you make a gift suggestion - it means that they don't have to
put a lot of effort into placing that check mark next to your name on the gift list.
Here's my plan on what I'm gonna say (at the appropriate time, of course) at the Thanksgiving table next week. Don't tell Liese, I want it to have maximum effect!:
"That poor red 1966 Ford Mustang sitting in the neighbor's driveway across the street looks pitiful. Every day I see it parked there in the
cold with no shelter. The back windows are busted out and the rain pours in. That classic American beauty is sure to be headed for the scrap heap if some generous soul doesn't garage it, restore it, and show it the proper care it deserves!" Whaddaya think? I know, it's a long shot....but you get the idea....
In the same vein, as you are giving thanks at the table for family and all blessings bestowed, you may want to take the opportunity to mention how thankful you are that, through the end of the year,
Oak Hill Gardens has added 10% bonus dollars to every gift certificate ordered! Hey, even if the suggestion goes over like a lead balloon, here's a backup plan - order one for yourself! We don't care who pays for it, and you still get the 10% bonus dollars to spend for free!
"Happy Holidays - to me, from me!"Just go to our homepage, look for the menu in green lettering on the left hand side, and click on
"Gift Certificates." Ordering a $50.00 gift certificate will cost the purchaser exactly $50.00 (we waive the mailing costs), but the certificate will be written for $55.00. This 10% bonus applies to any denomination. If you don't see the dollar amount you want to spend on the web page, just phone us, and we will fill out a custom certificate just for you or yours.

We wish you a Peaceful and Happy Thanksgiving with Family and Friends!
Thanks Again,
Greg, Liese and Hermann
