Happy Spring!
We hope that this note finds you in good health and spirits! We are enjoying our first 70 degree day in 178 days, ending the fourth longest such "cool spell" in Chicagoland history. I celebrated by first boarding up the igloo, then getting up on the greenhouse roof and spraying whitewash! My face is red (with white specks) and my eyes are swollen, but the plants are in shade and feeling much cooler. Hopefully another rogue snowstorm won't scrape the shading off for a third time this season! We thought it might be OK to interrupt your April to tell you about a new special we are offering for the remainder of the month. It is a FRAGRANT Madagascan species called Cymbidiella rhodochila. We have them in spike at this time and ready for shipment. Click on the link or the photo to learn more! Cymbidiella Special
We are continuing the show season with the next stop in Rogers, Arkansas for the Spring SWROGA show on May 3-4. This show promises to be a very nice one, as Tom Larkin of Whippoorwhill Orchids (did you know that whippoorwhill is the only word in the English language that has three sets of double letters? - check it out!) has pulled out all the stops in planning this extravaganza. Anyway, if you will be attending and want to save some shipping and handling, let us know if we can bring you some plants! Hope to see you there. Relish your hobby! (What the heck, throw on all the condiments!) Best wishes, Greg
