Greetings!
Fall is in the air, with the blustery days filled with the splendor of color, changing leaves and of course - Games! We've got a bumper crop of new games in the store, or on the way. Fall also brings students and teachers back to school, and the Gnomes can be part of that with a Family Game Night at your school or church. In this issue we'll explain how. Finally, September also brings the start of a new League & Tournament season, and we've got a bushel basket of new leagues, tournments and opportunities for you to play at both Gnome Games stores. UFS UPDATE
Late Breaking News!
Yesterday we were contacted by Jasco Games - the new manufacturers of UFS. They are releasing their first set next month!
Red Horizon is a new UFS license and will be a 99 card expansion followed by a core set tentatively scheduled for release in March.
We'll try to keep you up to date - and hope to schedule a Prerelease for mid October. Gnome Games will start UFS Leagues on Thursday nights starting next week! |

Community Events School & Church Game Nights - Photos & Open Dates
The Gnomes visit a number of schools and churches every week and we often get asked to take and share photos of our events. So we've started to post them on our facebook site. Starting with our latest adventures at St. Mark's School and the Luxemburg Cub Scouts we'll post the photos we get and encourage you to share your photos as well!

Our October and November Game Nights are filling up fast - we only have the following dates left for October: 12, 13, 19, 21, 26 and a handful of dates left in November. Ms. Gnomer - The Family Game Closet  Snipe Hunt - Education Outdoors

Now imagine the Children's Hide and Seek Game of the same name.... "It's SNIPE HUNT" The game can be played by 1 or 2 players, or, alternatively, it can be played by 2 teams. Each team must hide their "SNIPE" and then find the other team's "SNIPE" and bring it back to the nest. It's a race to see who can find the other team's snipe first! The game is really cute, the mechanical "SNIPE" creatures are birdlike and have a timed "chirp" and flashing eyes to help teams find them. Role-Playing News D&D Encounters - Keep on the Borderlands
 A small group of adventurers arrived in Restwell Keep, intent on seeking fortune and glory in the nearby Chaos Scar. While dining with the humble friar Benwick and learning that one of his followers had been kidnapped the adventure was on!
After a good night's sleep, the adventurers set out from the Keep and followed a map through the marshy woodland to a dark, dank, smoky grotto. Inside, the party encountered a number of reptilian creatures, led by a battleaxe-wielding Dragonborn. A challenging battle within the prison grotto ensued, from which the heroes emerged victorious.
The party rescued the loyal follower - Gordi and discovered that he had been poisoned. The brave adventurers are now headed back to Restwell in an effort to find an antidote for Gordi. . . . Perhaps you can help next week?
We host D&D Encounters every Wednesday at the Tournament Center. The encounters start at 4:00 and 6:30 and last about 90 minutes. Characters are provided or you can create your own using the rules on the D&D Encounters Website. Next Week - Weekly Adventures in the Chaos Scar come to Gnome Games every Friday & Sunday! |

Magic News Scars of Mirrodin Prereleases are Sept 25 - 26!
 It's time for a new block for Magic the Gathering - and this time we are headed back to Mirrodin - with the Scars of Mirrodin. Gnome Games will feature a weekend filled with Prerelease fun and games, and of course foil Promo Cards! We'll offer $15 Single Elimination Drafts after Round 1 of every event all weekend long! We'll kick it all off with a Midnight Prerelease at the Tournament Center, followed by a Noon Prerelease at the East Town Mall, a 6:00- 2HG at the East Town Mall, and a Last Chance Prerelease at the Tournament Center on Sunday the 26th starting at Noon.
