Mythos and the horror gaming that surrounds it. Brought to you by Steve Jackson

Axis & Allies Europe 1940 (In Stock)Wizards of the Coast (Avalon Hill)With the invasion of the Low Countries and the allied evacuation from Dunkirk, the German army is poised to march on Paris. Axis & Allies Europe 1940 builds on the success of the acclaimed A&A Anniversary Edition.
France appears for the first time in Axis & Allies as a new playable ally! Italy will be included as a second Axis
power along with Germany. The UK, USSR and the US find themselves
vulnerable at this early and uncertain point of the war. Tactical Bombers and Mechanized Infantry, also appear in this game. This deluxe theater-level game is designed to play together with Axis & Allies Pacific 1940.
Together these two games will create the greatest Axis & Allies

giant game. Make sure you have a big table ready for the entire weekend for this one! Puzzles, Puzzles and More Puzzles!!!You asked for it - and the Gnomes have gone out and found it! We've brought in a selection to our Gnome Games East Town Mall store of great puzzles from a number of manufacturers with more on the way! Role-Playing News
Which Path will you follow?
Over the past few months we've seen a lot of great Role-Playing books and accessories hit and disappear from the shelves at Gnome Games. Both Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons have had some great releases for the 'traditional sword & sorcery' style of games. There has also been a new addition to the Rogue Trader RPGe from Fantasy Flight Games that we are really excited about. Here's a quick list of what we've seen fly off the shelves and what we expect to see come in over the next couple of weeks. The great folks at Wizards of the Coast have brought us a plethora of 4th Edition D&D products this month with the release of their Essentials line including the new nostalgic Red Box! The Dungeons & Dragons Fantasy Roleplaying Game box set contains everything 1 to 5 players need to begin their adventuring careers! Gnome Games also has been given the opportunity to bring the new D&D books to your table early! We've already got the new Dungeon Tiles Master Set: The Dungeon, The D&D Essentials Ruless Compendium, and the Player Essentials: Heroes of the Fallen Lands available for you to bring to the table! After opening the tiles and reading the Rules Compendium we can say without any reservations that these are a must have for any Dungeon Master! These are available NOW at Gnome Games!Later this month we'll round out the dungeon with the latest set of D&D Miniatures - Monster Manual: Lords of Madness a 60 figure random set of denizens pulled from the depths of the Monster Manuals! Next month from WotC - we'll see Gamma World, Dungeon Tiles Master Set: The City, and the D&D Essentials Dungeon Master Kit - both arriving 10 days early at Gnome Games! (We expect them to be available on October 8th!!!) There is a second path that many adventurers have been taking over the summer - that of Pathfinder from Paizo Publishing. The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game puts you in the role of a brave
adventurer fighting to survive in a world beset by magic and evil. Will
you cut your way through monster-filled ruins and cities rife with
political intrigue to emerge as a famous hero laden with fabulous
treasure, or will you fall victim to treacherous traps and fiendish
monsters in a forgotten dungeon? Your fate is yours to decide with this
giant Core Rulebook that provides everything a player needs to set out
on a life of adventure and excitement! The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is an evolution
of the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 rules - designed using the feedback of tens of thousands of gamers just like
you. Players need only the single 576-page Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook to play, while the Game Master who controls the action will also want the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary,
a massive tome containing more than 350 fantastic foes for your
adventurers to face. The Pathfinder RPG is a fully supported roleplaying
game, with regularly released adventure modules, sourcebooks on the
fantastic world of Golarion, and complete campaigns available for you to explore. Gnome Games will be bringing Pathfinder Society Organized Play to our tables on Saturday afternoons starting in October Fantasy Flight Games leads the way into deep space with a new release for their Rogue Trader RPG. In Rogue Trader, you can explore the universe of Warhammer 40,000
like never before. Vast fortunes await on the edges of the galaxy, if
you and your fellow Explorers can muster the courage to find and claim
them. Renown and riches reward the bold, but the unwary find only
anonymous deaths. A Rogue Trader who can wrest profits from a dangerous
universe through luck, cunning, or sheer force of will enjoys something
few humans in the 41st Millennium even know-a life of adventure and true
freedom. Such a course, however, is often fraught with peril.
Foul aliens, pernicious raiders, and even other Rogue Traders stand in
your way on the path to greatness. Your wits, luck, skill, and courage
will be tested to their utmost limits. To survive is to face even
greater challenges-and to wield even greater power. Their latest addition - Into the Storm contains everything needed to build and equip a Rogue Trader like no other... and the crew to match. Into The Storm offers a host of new character options, allowing
for increased personalization with the new expanded Origin Path and
Alternate Career Ranks. Plus, play as a character from beyond the
Imperium with two all-new xenos Careers! Vehicle rules add a new
dimension to gameplay and expand possibilities for adventure. Explore
uncharted worlds in a Rhino APC or dominate your foes from the cockpit
of a Fury starfighter. You can even gain access to an extensive new
armoury of weapons, armour, and gear wrested from alien races or
rediscovered from humanity's dark past, or augment yourself with new
psychic powers for Astropaths and Navigators. |

Major Mini's Battlefield Reports
Gnome Games - Imperial Guard Bunker Store & Crucible Nebula Campaign
On Saturday Sept. 4th the forces of the universe descended upon Gnome Games for an epic battle. At the end of the day as the smoke settled the forces of the Guard under the command of General Michael Kohlmann we saw the Cadian Battle Standard controlled the planet, and the loyalty of the Head Gnome has been pledged to support the Imperium for the next year.
You can join the battle during the 40K Crucible Nebula Campaign - every Tuesday at the Gnome Games Tournament Center.
Crucible is a desolate planet at the heart of a strange cosmic nebulae. It is odd enough to find yourself thrown on a different world. It is far stranger for your units from Crucible's surface and see your own outpost planet orbiting Crucible like a moon. And there are many, many others orbiting as well. Stranger still, although there is no sun in this nebula, you have atmosphere, heat gravity on the planet. Something is keeping Crucible and your world alive.
Confounded and trying to understand what is going on soon find out... you are not alone.
The Cadian Forces led by Comrade Kohlmann have a toe-hold in this strange place, but it is your job to explore, secure and drive them and the rest of the insurgents away. You can download the Campaign Background here or bring our army to the battle any Tuesday night at the Gnome Games Tournament Center!

Ms. Gnomer - The Family Game Closet
Pirate vs. Pirate
Aaaarrggh Matey - September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day - are you ready to plunder some treasure? In this new 2-3 player game from Out of the Box Publishing you are the Captain of a ship, complete with 6 swarthy pirates at your command. In true buccaneer spirit you dispatch your pirates to plunder treasure from the island in the middle of the board; but look sharp matey! If another captains crew lands on yours with an exact roll - of - the - bones your sailor gets the deep six, and is removed from the game. You can win the game by achieving one of 3 goals; Retrieving 2 Silver Coins, Retrieving 1 Gold Doubloon, or eliminating the crew of all the other captains from the game. Pirate vs. Pirate is a quick, fast paced game that is great for the entire family, but my favorite part of the entire game is the fantastic Pirates and 'Bones' that Out of the Box has put into the game, with the help of one of my favorite artists - John Kovalik. |
