Today begins a month filled with big events, new releases, special tournaments and great games and gaming opportunities for everyone! It all starts tonight at MIDNIGHT!
To start things out we've got a weekend filled with Magic featuring the Rise of the Eldrazi Prereleases starting at Midnight tonight at the Tournament Center, continuing at the East Town Mall on Saturday starting at noon and winding up with a final Prerelease and Drafts on Sunday at the Tournament Center.
We'll also welcome the newest HeroClix arrival - Brave and the Bold with a Sealed Tournament on Saturday at the Tournament Center (1:00 - $30 / 3 Boosters!) where you can win a BRUCE WAYNE LE!
Tomorrow is also the monthly Redemption tournament featuring a 2 player event and a Draft starting at 10:00 at the Tournament Center.
The Magic fun continues next week with even more Rise of the Eldrazi - featuring the Legendary GNOME GAMES FAT PACK CHALLENGE! (Friday April 23 at the Tournament Center - 6:30 PM Sharp $35). We'll continue the release weekend celebration with a full line-up of sealed tournaments and draft events and wrap them all up with a WPN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER where the winner will earn an invite to the WPN Championship in San Juan Puerto Rico. (Sunday April 25 at the East Town Mall - 11:00 AM $20 Standard Format)
Naruto is back at Gnome Games! After meeting with the folks from Bandai in March we have figured out a way to bring Naruto back to Gnome Games. We'll be hosting leagues every Thursday afternoon where players can earn free promo cards just for playing this great game. Every Saturday at 10:30 we'll host a FREE tournament at the East Town Mall with great prizes like playmats, backpacks, DVD's and more! Plus we'll have open play available at the Tournament Center on Sundays as well where players can trade, practice and if they are lucky earn even more promo cards. We'll even ramp it up a notch with a Release Weekend Celebration in May!
Cards are not the only game we play at Gnome Games - and next weekend we've got a weekend of Board Game Goodness for you as well where you can win some extraordinary prizes! It all starts with the North American Catan Championship (NACC) Qualifier where the winner earns a TRIP TO GEN CON and a seat in the NACC Finals where they could earn a trip to the World Championship in Germany!! (Saturday April 24 at the East Town Mall - 10:00 $10/Player)
In addition to all of the Settlers of Catan excitement - we've got something for the Starcraft fans as well - a Starcraft II Celebration on Sunday April 25th at the East Town Mall. Come and play Starcraft the Board Game and you could win a Starcraft II Beta Key - so you can play Starcraft II online!
We are also in the middle of season one of the D&D Encounters. This adventuring experience features short encounters suitable for both new and experienced players. We host this every Wednesday night at 4:00 and again at 6:00 with the first 6 players getting a seat at the table run by the Head Gnome! No need to bring characters - we can provide them for you and the weekly encounters take less than 2 hours of your time. If you'd like to be a GM or run a table for your friends let us know and we'll save a table for you!
For the miniature enthusiast we are helping you to prepare for the Warhammer 40K 'Ard Boyz Tournament coming up on May 15 - 16. To help you get ready we've got an RTT (1850 pts) on April 24th at the East Town Mall and 2500 point matches every Saturday until the 'Ard Boyz! PLUS - this season we'll host 2 'Ard Boyz events - 1 for each store! So we'll be able to send 6 players to the next round!
Did we forget to tell you about WarStone? We've got the first of 3 $50,000 Qualifiers coming to the East Town Mall on May 1st, where players will play MARBLES chasing great prizes like Playstations, WII's and X-Boxes on the road to the $50K Championship at GenCon.
