Astronomicon Update

Reports of first contact and initial reconnasaince are echoing all over the Galaxy.

The planet is uninhabited, yet something strange is going on.  The planetary surface is not entirely...stable?  It seems continued reports state that the surface of the planet shifts and moves randomly.  Troops who were in close cover suddenly found themselves standing in a wide open field.  Other units reported having the enemy in thier sites only to have a cliff suddenly jump up out of the ground and ruin line-of-sight.

Further explorations are continuing as well as engagements against ever conceivable opponent.  Only time will tell what's truly happening on planet 2009-D1.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do all my minis have to be completely painted to play?
No - we ask that you work toward getting them painted so you can play in the January RTT but it is not a requirement for the Battlelines League.

Do I have to use the same army every week?
Yes and No.  You must keep the same army that you have registered on the first of December.  So if you don;t like the army you started with you can change, however you will lose any campaign benefits / badges you have already earned.  You may change your army list for each week as you see fit within the guidelines of the current version of the Codex for your army.

Remember - all minis/models ar played WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get - so if your marines are carrying Sniper Rifles they can not use another weapon even if it is on the Codex useable weapons list. (unless the weekly scenario overrules this rule)

In less than a week things on this strange new planet are, to say the least, not as they seem.  Contact has been made between multiple Galactic factions and it is obvious that this star system is important as it seems to have drawn forces from every conceivable corner of the Galaxy.  Add to this the reports of planetary terrain morphing and/or moving randomly and you've got an extremely intruiging, and dangerous, situation.

After reconoitering a small portion of the planet you realize that a more indepth exploration is in order, and judging by the first contact made between factions, more forces are going to be needed soon.

Your task is simple, prepare a BeachHead for further troop landings to reinforce your position and allow you to further explore this strange world.
