Greetings!
Happy New Year!
2009 promises to be an exciting year. The Gnomes have some predictions for early 2009.
2009 will see the return of Age of Steam for the train game lovers, along with a weekend of board game Chaos in April, at CHAOTICON 18 at UW Green Bay.
Finally we predict that 2009 will bring some electrifying changes at Gnome Games, all in our continued efforts to bring you the best in gaming! To start things off we've started the Gnome Blog - where we'll post weekly winners and other cool pictures and information. We'll have even more cool stuff in the months to come!
 See you at the Gnome,

Great Train Games
Steam is coming down the track!
One of the finest rail games of all time is being redesigned by the original designer Martin Wallace and released by Mayfair Games early in 2009! Steam is the latest iteration of one of the most popular train games of all time - Age of Steam.
If you haven't tried any of the Train Games - these are all about building the most profitable rail company - but it's not always as easy a laying track and buying locomotives. Players must anticipate where the demand for the most profitable loads will come from and need to go in order to win.

| FREE Family Game Nights at your Church or School |
|
One of the things that the friendly Gnomes love to do is play games with people in the community. We can bring our games to your church or school for a free game night!
Here's how it works:
We'll need to know what date and time you'd like us to come, how many people you expect to have attend and what ages they are.
We'll bring games to your facility that our experience has shown will be fun, age appropriate, easy to learn, and that encourage interaction between the players.
You'll be responsible for setting up tables and chairs, any treats, and cleaning up after we leave. You'll also be responsible for advertising the event to your guests.
When we arrive we'll set up the games, help to teach your guests how to play them and just have a fun night together playing games.
We do ask that parents accompany their children to these events. This is because we believe that playing games together as a family makes the family become stronger and opens the lines of communication between parents and their children.
Have questions or want to schedule an night filled with fun and games? Give us a call at (920) 499-4263 or email gamenight@gnomegames.com. |
Going Bananas with Bananagrams Scrabble at Lightnng Speed!
One of the questions I get asked is what games do the Gnomes play when they aren't running the store or they just want to have a bit of fun?
Our latest game of choice has been Bananagrams - and this is one game that we'll take with us wherever we go.
It's a lot like Scrabble, except that there is not a board, everyone gets to play at the same time as fast as they can, and you get to change your words any time you would like! It's a great family or party game and is also a good one to take with you when you go travel, as it can be played almost anywhere.
If you'd like to learn how to play just stop in and I'd be happy to show you how to go Bananas!
