FAQ's
What is Open Dueling? This format is more casual than the Limited Format Tournaments. Each player gets a random Shards Theme Deck, plays 5 matches and turns in a result slip for a prize pack and a promo card
Can I play in more than 1 Event? Yes! We'll start new pods every time we get 16 players, so if you want to play again you can. But remember you'll only get the promo card after the end of the 2nd round of each pod. Also remember that you can not add cards from earlier events into your card pool. If you get caught doing this you will be DQ'd and asked to leave without any prizes. | |

Saturday Sept 27
Best Western Midway
780 Armed Forces Drive
This Saturday we'll get the first chance to see how Shards of Alara plays at the Prerelease. I hope that you've been paying attention to the previews on www.magicthegathering.com or took some time to check out the Shards of Alara Visual Spoiler, which has all the previews you might have missed.
The more friends you can bring to play, very much the merrier, and to avoid disappointment, make sure you plan out how to get there in advance (Here's a link to the Best Western's Map
There are also a few things to remember to bring with you that will make things easier.
It always makes sense to have a pen and paper, and having some counters or tokens too. While we'll have card sleeves and dice, if you have them anyway, you should probably bring them. Instead of buying a box of sleeves and dice you could buy in to the Open Dueling, or the 2HG Sealed events and get more cards!
We've helped you out with food and drink - with a full service bar & restaraunt just 50 feet from the prerelease. Oh yeah - no alcohol will be allowed inside the Prerelease, but we figured that you might want to grab a sandwich or a soda between pods. |
