Eventide Arrives Tonight
July 25, 2008
Full weekend of events planned!
Just as the Shadowmoor set turned the plane of Lorwyn on its ear, the Eventide set distorts everything Shadowmoor established. Enemy colors combine and create new strangeness on hybrid cards. Wither, persist, and the untap symbol are back, and are joined by two new mechanics: chroma and retrace.
Color matters more than ever in Eventide, and the new ability chroma puts an exclamation point on it. Chroma asks you to count up the number of mana symbols that appear in cards you're using-the more mana symbols there are, the more devastating the effect.
Cards with the retrace ability take every land you draw for the rest of the game and turn them into weapons to abuse your enemies with.

5 Color Magic at Gnome Games (Highlander) 250 Card Decks?!!
You may be wondering what those HUGE decks you've seen being played at Gnome Games. Stacks of cards that can't possibly work as a deck right?
WRONG - These are 5-Color decks. This format (also known as "250" or Prismatic is just one of the great ways to play Magic - and now it's available at Gnome Games.
Heres the basics:
Grab 250 cards - at least 20 of each color, and no more than 4 of each card except basic lands. Shuffle and play!
If you want to make it even more challenging - make it Highlander - ONLY 1 Copy of any card except basic lands!
There is a Banned / Restricted list for this format as well as official rules at www.5-color.com.
