A word from Brian...Brian with Boats

Yep, it has been an awesome winter.  The highlight for ORS staff was the weekend we closed the store to do some team building and went skiing at Mount Washington. It was definitely the worst weather I could have imagined but wow, we all had fun.  About 90% of our staff participated and everyone had an absolute gas in the wet spring snow as the rain teamed down.  We have a saying at ORS, "There is no such thing as bad weather" well; we certainly put it to the test and found it to be true!

I am excited, the rivers are flowing and I plan "To get out there", this spring - as ORS has Liquid Logic whitewater kayaks back in stock - and I am looking forward to it. Those of you, who like white water, check out our special River Night on Feb 17th. It will be great.

New products are flooding into the store and just like the rivers, ORS is overflowing with great merchandise including cool new boats, accessories and, our clothing selection is better than ever.  Travel plans in your future?  ORS can help make traveling even better, the new Lole Bikini's are now on display.

It is that time of year again and ORS is looking for spring/summer staff.  We are looking for floor staff, dock staff and even an Adventure Centre Manager!  Submit your resume today.

ORS has launched a NEW ONLINE STORE and we guarantee a good shopping experience with more products available online than ever.  A huge THANKS goes out to Graham Powell, ORS's web master.  Thanks to his determination and expertise we are up and running.  Help me thank Graham by checking it out; we would love your feedback too.

Truly,
Brian

Hayley Shepard, a New Zealand paddler currently living on Vancouver Island, is attempting to be the first person to solo paddle around South Georgia Island, a Sub-Antartic Island well known for its remote, rugged beauty and rich abundant wildlife.  She is attempting this trip in order to raise awareness for the Wandering Albatross, the largest of the Albatross species who is facing a great threat to their numbers.

Beth Anne, one of Ocean River's first guides, is going along on the support vessel, as a kayaking insurance policy.
