Doug Collis |
Canoeist extraordinaire, who passed away at
age 88 in late January.
Doug is well known as an avid canoeist and leader
at Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club. As a teacher, Doug introduced many students to the joy of building canoes and to the sport itself.

A Word from Brian
I just got back from the Winter Outdoor
Retailer show in Salt Lake City,
where I was looking at the latest
outdoor gear and clothing. I even
got out on the slopes to try out the latest
in back country ski gear.
It was an inspiring show and it became
obvious to me how important it is for us to
be pro-active in our business, to create
more value for our customers, to open up
opportunities to access the outdoors easily
and to inspire people to "get out there".
A change in the economy is happening
and people will stop and start smelling the
roses enjoying activities like hiking, skiing,
paddling and doing more things in the
outdoors. We have some great options:
