Good Day to Everyone!
I would like to share some very good news with everyone in the Vector family.
Today
the University of Manitoba announced the Recipients of Honorary Degrees for
2010. One of the honorees is Don Whitmore. Don will be receiving
the Degree of Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) from the University of Manitoba on
June 3rd during the spring 2010 Convocation.
Don is being honored for his years of contribution to industry and
community. A quotation from the announcement is as follows: "Don Whitmore
has spent his entire career in the construction industry, with a reputation for
seeking out and embracing new technologies to improve not only his company's
competitive position but to build a better product for everyone. Whitmore
has been responsible for many innovations and advances in the industry through
his leadership of boards and organizations with a common interest in the safe
and economical construction and repair of Canada's roads, highways and
infrastructure."
Don is one of only six people to receive honorary degrees in 2010.
Please join me in congratulating Don on this accomplishment. He has put a
lot of effort into Vector, the industry and the community over many years and
he is a most worthy recipient.
