Southwest Corporate Update

Image Deposit Returns Available in FEDs 11th District
Southwest Corporate has introduced an Image Deposit Return service in the Federal Reserve's 11th District. Roll-out across the rest of the country could begin as early as July.

The new service automates the process of handling returned items from member deposits, eliminating paper check delivery to the credit union. Returns are sent directly to Southwest Corporate from its direct-exchange banks, image exchange networks and the Federal Reserve. Southwest Corporate then can re-deposit non-sufficient funds (NSF) items, report additional maker and/or payee information, and provide deposit detail reports (DDRs) via TranZact.

"With the online DDRs, credit unions can view check images and item level MICR information, receive large-dollar notifications and download a file that enables them to print substitute checks to give to members," said Brad Ganey, Southwest Corporate's SVP, Payment Services. For more information about the Image Deposit Return service, contact an account executive at 800.442.5763.
