OCUL Announces 2009 Holiday Schedule
The League will observe normal hours of operation throughout 2009 with the exception of the following dates:

IRA TrainingSeminars Approaching Swiftly
Don't Forget to Register
On January 14, Debbie Shipman, CUNA Mutual Group's IRA training expert for credit unions and leagues, will lead your credit union employees in a hands-on presentation on the Essentials of IRAs. This presentation will focus on the fundamentals of IRAs, such as, identifying the differences between Roth and traditional, rollover and direct transfers and reviewing tax forms your members receive like the 1099-R. Attendees will leave this seminar with basic knowledge on how to work with IRA owners and how to process basic IRA transactions. To register click on the link titled Essentials.
On January 15, Debbie Shipman plans to build on the attendees' knowledge of basic IRAs by addressing some of the more complex issues. IRA Advanced will cover IRA contributions, IRA required minimum distributions and the steps in processing a death claim. To register, click on the link titled Advanced.

CUNA Strategic Services is offering a new product--VendorTrack--to help credit unions centralize vendor due diligence information, manage relationships, assess vendor risk and ensure compliance with policies and controls. The Oklahoma Credit Union League would like to personally invite you to join us this Saturday night for CU On-The-Ice. This event, benefiting Children's Miracle Network and the Oklahoma Credit Union Foundation, will take place at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, 100 West Reno Ave. Game time is 7:10 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $20.
Oklahoma Credit Unions will be in one block of seats and will be recognized during gametime festivities.
