OCUL Board Names Morrow Ingram President/CEO |

The Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Credit Union League has named Debra J. (D.J.) Morrow Ingram President/CEO. Morrow Ingram has served as the interim since June of 2007.
"DJ performed well as the Interim President/CEO these past eighteen months under some very difficult circumstances. The continuation of this leadership was deemed an important reason for the Board's decision. We are now positioned to complete the move to our new office in the Oklahoma Credit Union House in Oklahoma City and the partnership agreement with the Texas Credit Union League. Under DJ's  leadership, we look forward to a very successful transition," states Michael D. Kloiber, Board Chair. "It is truly a privilege to work for the Oklahoma credit union movement and I am honored with the trust and confidence the Board has placed in my leadership as the next President/CEO of the Oklahoma Credit Union League," said Morrow Ingram. "I look forward to the many opportunities ahead for the Oklahoma Credit Union League and its members and am committed to promoting continued growth and development of Oklahoma credit unions through innovative products and services, education and advocacy."
Morrow Ingram joined the League in February of 2006 to oversee the advocacy efforts of the League. She had previously worked for the League as the government relations director in the late 90s. An attorney, she has 28 years experience in media and public relations, marketing, corporate communications, government and community relations and association management. Her prior employment includes positions with the Tulsa Area United Way, Sunoco, Inc., Oklahoma Bankers Association and Security Bank and Trust in Ponca City. She is a former assistant attorney general for the state of Kansas.

2008/2009 Marks 100th Anniversary of Credit Unions
Did you know 2008/2009 marks the celebration of the U.S. credit union movements' 100th anniversary. Listed below are some tips to help you celebrate the key milestones of your credit union with your membership:
- Hold an open house at your credit union and branch offices.
- Conduct tours and serve refreshments. It's a great opportunity to build relationships with members and discuss your products and services.
- Get the word out about the history of the credit union movement by displaying posters and banners in your lobby.
- Hold a "guest day" at your credit union where members can bring guests for refreshments and learn more about your credit union.
- Let members "meet their credit union" by displaying your employees' photos and biographies and stories of your credit unions history.
CU On-The-Ice Night Rescheduled For Jan. 10, 2009
Come See the Turnpike Rivalry -- OKC Blazers vs. Tulsa Oilers!
The Oklahoma Credit Union League has rescheduled CU On-The-Ice Night for Jan. 10, 2009. This event, benefiting Children's Miracle Network and the Oklahoma Credit Union Foundation, will take place at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, 100 West Reno Ave. Game time is 7:10 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $20.
Oklahoma Credit Unions will be in one block of seats and will be recognized during gametime festivities.
Why Should Your Credit Union Get Involved?
- A portion of each ticket sold will go directly to the non-profits Oklahoma credit unions care most about;
- Multiple credit unions working together again demonstrates that credit unions are a cooperative organizations;
- It is a fun, family-friendly event!

Hotel Block
The Oklahoma Credit Union League has a block of rooms at the Marriott Courtyard Convention Center Hotel, 3.5 blocks from the Convention Center. Once an architecturally splendid bank, the hotel features a courtyard cafe open for breakfast and Gordon Biersch restaurant and bar open for lunch and dinner. It also has an indoor pool and whirlpool and a fitness center. If you are interested in being a part of the OCUL Block, please complete these forms and return them to OCUL by December 4 with payment.
