Southwest NCUIS Unveils New Network For CU Marketers

With an estimated 70 million in numbers, Generation "Y" represents the largest generation in America since the Baby Boomers. Yet, very few credit unions have successfully targeted this audience. To bridge the gap between this age group and our credit unions, NCUIS has launched their new online network for credit union marketers, which will serve as a "MySpace" for credit union marketing staff. Marketers are encouraged to log on to design their own page, write blogs, join in forums and share their marketing ideas.

News From Southwest Corporate
Southwest Corporate's Service Builds Efficiency for CUs

About 78 percent of American workers wish they had more time to "stop and smell the roses," according to Dr. Donald Wetmore of the Productivity Institute in Stratford, Connecticut. If this statement hits home personally, consider streamlining office procedures with Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union's Corporate Checking with Positive Pay.

Credit unions use Corporate Checking for vendor payments, loan disbursement checks, official checks and more. With the service, checks are drawn on the credit union's Southwest Corporate account and cleared through Southwest Corporate. The credit union maintains the float until checks post to the account, and the account balance earns dividends based on a daily average interest rate. Other services may require a credit union to prefund issued drafts.

One of the program's best features is Positive Pay, Southwest Corporate's free online account reconciliation service. Each day, credit unions use Positive Pay to validate paid items and identify items that need to be researched.
