joewilliamsWow, what a snow storm we had!  We've had so much snow at the church that we simply ran out of places to push it and pile it!  As a result, we've lost a few parking spaces along the fence line and up close to the Southside of the building.  We also lost a few spaces in the North lot as well.  I think we'll be ok for this Sunday, but I wanted to give you a heads up and ask everyone to "park smart" on Sunday!  We might need a couple of people out in the lot on Sunday directing traffic so that we don't waste any spaces.  Any volunteers for parking lot duty on Sunday!!!  Seriously, -- Any volunteers???  Please let me know if you can help out!

 

Last Sunday was simply awesome!  Thanks again to everyone who invited a friend to our Big Day!  There were so many first-time guests who joined us!  Several have made it a point to let me know that they're coming back!  Great job, and keep inviting!

 

This Sunday, we will be striving to recruit some volunteers to serve in our children's ministry.  We have some very dedicated volunteers in the Children's ministry!  The only problem is that we don't have enough of them! Would you be praying about this?  This just might be the One Step you need to take!  (See Rich's article below!)

 

Two final things before I wrap up!  First of all, there is a new group beginning Feb. 13th called Lifeshare!  Please see announcement below for more information about this!  Also, every Friday at 10am there is a group that meets at the church called Playgroup!  Playgroup is an opportunity for mom's to get together while their children play.  They also do activities and go on outings.  This is a great opportunity for you to get plugged in.  Click here to learn more!

WE NEED YOU!

 

richcronkletonI'm writing this letter to make you aware of a need in our Northside Children's Ministry.  Each Sunday we have 50 to 60 children in our ministry ranging from birth to 5th grade and 10 adult volunteers some who do not have children in our ministry.  This is not enough support.  Our Northside Children's Ministry is stalling.  In order to keep our ministry running at it's full potential and to give honor to our Father we need you to take your ONE STEP.

 

Here are our Sunday morning needs:

Starting Point - various ages (09:15 to 10:15)

  • 2 volunteers

Giggleville - birth to 3 years old (10:15 to 12:00)

  • 1 leader, 3 helpers

Kingdom Avenue Check-In (10:15 to 10:45)

  • 1 volunteer

Kingdom Avenue Café (10:15 to 10:45)

  • 1 volunteer

Zoo - pre-K (10:15 to 12:00)

  • 1 leader, 1 volunteer

Garage - K-5th grade (10:15 to 12:00)

  • 1 leader, 1 volunteer, 1 worship leader
  • 1 small group leader for 4th & 5th grade

 

Here is what I'm asking:

1.  I am asking you to pray for our Northside Children's Ministry.  Pray for the current volunteers.  Pray our Northside Children's Ministry will grow.  Pray for your ONE STEP.

 

2.  I am asking you to visit with me or with the volunteers currently working with your children. 

 

3.  I am asking you to take your ONE STEP and sign up for at least one Sunday every quarter.

 

Northside Children's Ministry sign up will take place Sunday, February 6th.

New Group Begins Feb. 13th
Life Share Group

There is a new group begining at Northside called LifeShare!  LifeShare is a group for those who are divorced or are in the midst of divorcing that will:
  • Gather in support of each other
  • Share in the strained life during and after divorce
  • Offer encouragement
  • Biblical teaching
  • Care and Support
