We are just two days away from our Big Day! I hope that you've been praying fervently for your friends that you'd love to see join you at NCC this Sunday! You never really know what kind of response you'll get when you invite a friend to join you at church, but I do know that every time we've had a Big Day at Northside, it has resulted in changed lives!
If for some reason you're reading this and wondering, "What is a Big Day?" Well, let me take just a moment to tell you! A Big Day is an all our push to pray for and invite our lost friends to Northside on one Big Day! We hope to see our attendance double this Sunday! We hope that there will be several families and individuals that will come back again the following Sunday and the Sunday after that! Simply put:
- Big Days are a great way to reach new people for Jesus!
- Big Days help elevate the evangelistic temperature of our church!
- Big Days keep Northside focused on praying for the lost!
- Big Days just make the devil mad!
Here's what we need you to do today! We need everyone to think of 3 people that you'd like to see come to know Christ! Once you have your 3 people (which hopefully won't take long!), start praying for them and seek out an opportunity to invite them to church on Sunday! It's not too late to make a call, send an email, fire off a text, take a friend out for coffee, walk across the street to your neighbor's house, or knock on the office door next to yours. Whatever method you choose to invite a friend, one thing is for certain; they won't come if you don't invite!
God is at the heart of this process! What did Jesus tell Peter and the other disciples in Matthew 16:18? And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
God will build His church! He will work on the hearts of our friends and He will do it through us! We must be inviters! I've seen it many times before when one invitation to church started the process of God getting a hold of a person's heart and changing their life forever! I believe it will happen again starting this Sunday!
Thanks in advance for praying and inviting!
Blessings,
Joe Williams
