Lyle M. Back, M.D.

Have you been enjoying our incredibly mild winter?  Us too, even though there may be a snowstorm or two still to come. We're all counting the days until spring "officially" arrives on March 21st. Stop in - the staff and I are looking forward to seeing you!

What Is The "Lunchtime Cheek Lift"?

Amazing--a true rejuvenation of the face--but with no implants, no surgery, and no laser? True artistic sculpting and lifting of the cheeks and face, in minutes, as an outpatient? In the doctor's office, during "lunchtime?" How?  Read more...

Revolutionary Room Disinfection Technique

According to a recent Canadian study, we may be very close to a revolution in room disinfection. Hospital rooms and operating rooms can now be rendered completely bacteria and "bug" free in about one hour without any physical cleaning! The new technique involves circulating an ozone/hydrogen peroxide gas mixture in the room. This rapidly sterilizes every thing and every surface including floors, walls, curtains, table tops, counters, mattresses, sofas and chairs. The vapor does not damage furniture, materials/fabrics, or electrical equipment in any way. Imagine this used for hotel rooms, apartments, dormitory rooms, gyms, restaurants or food manufacturing facilities! The technology is more effective, more reliable and less expensive than all current methods!

Plastic Surgery Around The World

The International Society of Aesthtetic Plastic Surgery reports that some 19 million cosmetic procedures were performed by plastic surgeons around the world in 2011. About half of these were surgical procedures, the other half were non-surgical office procedures (like Botox® or wrinkle fillers). The most popular surgical procedures were liposuction (23%), breast augmentation/implants (16%), eyelid lifts (11%), nasal reshaping (10%) and

tummy-tucks (7%).

The "Top Ten" busiest countries for cosmetic surgery might surprise you: (1) USA, (2) Brazil, (3) China, (4) Japan, (5) India, (6) Mexico, (7) Italy, (8) South Korea, (9) France, (10) Columbia.
