Does A "Low Carb" Diet Help With Acne?

Fewer "carbs" and the pursuit of so-called "low Glycemic Index (GI)" foods are the mainstays of the Atkin's style diet. These strategies have been incredibly effective for weight loss and weight control for millions of people to date. The bottom line key to all this: the maintaining of smoother and more regular blood sugar levels by limiting the insulin spikes that are created by an endless onslaught of carbs a/o high Glycemic Index (GI) foods. Some acne experts feel that recurring high blood sugar levels also serve to stimulate and perpetuate acne - raising the theoretical possibility that a low carb/ low GI diet style might also be an "anti-acne" diet as well! January's Fun & Easy Spa Recipe

Ingredients:
2 Cups Ground Coffee
1/2 Cup Sugar Or Sea Salt
2 Tablespoons Oil (Vegetable Oil, Olive Oil, etc.)
3 Drops Vanilla Extract
Mix all ingredients together. Stand in your shower to avoid messy clean-up and apply to skin in circular motions, starting at the feet and moving upward. Rinse and apply your favorite moisturizer.
