Using Sunscreen

A quick application - a one shot deal - before that treasured day at the beach, seaside bike ride or run on the boardwalk - it's enough...Isn't it? Most sunscreens lose all effectiveness within just 2 hours. Factor in getting wet, sweaty, or high humidity and it's even less. Good habit: apply every 2 hours. Our recommendation: stay away from the PABA's and "chemical" sunblockers. The "physical blockers" like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide block both UVB (causes skin cancer) and UVA (increases skin aging) and last longer and block better. Water resistant brands are also preferable. Pick up some Neova Z-Silc SPF30 or Neova Ti-Silc Sheer SPF45  at our office - or at our on line store any time - and have a great, healthy Summer!
