2010 begins with Kumbha Yoga, the long annular eclipse on 15 Jan and there is a rare transit yoga that helps Cancer and Capricorn from 13 Jan onwards.
The planet of knowledge Jupiter continues to be auspicious throughout 2010- I have planned to use this energy to teach Vedic Astrology intensively both for beginner's and advanced.
For Beginner's- you can do a year long weekly webinar from Feb 22, a weekend introduction in Pleasanton or an intensive Foundation Course in Oct/ Nov in Chandigarh India.
For advanced students, there are regular intensives throughout the year.

Kumbha Mela
14 Janaury to 28 April 2010 - Main day for Kumbha Mela is 14 April 2010 on Baishakhi
 Kumbha Yoga takes places every 12 years when Jupiter is in Aquarius and
it is also celebrated when Jupiter is in other fixed signs (Taurus,
Leo and Scorpio). The Kumbha Mela takes place at 4 major spiritual
sites - Haridwar, Prayag ( Allahbad), Nasik and Ujjain where millions
of pilgrims attend. Mela means a gathering. So Kumbha Mela is the gathering to celebrate the Kumbha Yoga.
Kumbha means a pot but in this case it indicates the pot holding
Amrita, the nectar of immortality which was found in the ocean of milk
by the mutual effort of the Gods and the demons.
