Greetings!

A short announcement on our monthly communication. I've decided to call these a clear concise albeit overused and boring title: Monthly Newsletters. I'm doing this so when it arrives to your inbox, you'll know this is your "go to" source for information about your ribbon printer including tips on how to work with the new software. This also makes it easy to reference information from past newsletters. These will also be available through a link on the website in the "Get Downloads" section.
Now for Some Fun - Crackle Printing

Crackle Printing

Certain jobs seem to call out for something different ... a little on the edge.

One afternoon, we were running some tests on the new software. We didn't really care about the print so put in used foils. Much to our surprise, the resulting print was, well, FUN! Lauri described it as the "crackle" effect ... like with painting. So now that's what we call it - Crackle Printing.

The result is best on larger print and larger ribbon widths. I'd use 1 1/2" ribbon or greater with bold type. Just insert a used foil and print over the used portion. For best results, misalign the print so you don't pick up full letters from the prior job. Finally, a productive use for old foils.

Who knew a day of testing could bring this great surprise! Try out this new effect to add to your design talents. We'd love to see pictures ...

Please let us know if there are specific topics you'd like to see covered. This is your space to ask, learn, and share.

Happy Printing!
