Design & Print Software Learning

The New Design & Print Software

This space in each Newsletter will be dedicated to information about the new Design & Print Software. It will contain answers to commonly asked questions and also include design tips as you become more familiar and use the advanced options available in the program.

SOFTWARE SETUP FOR CURRENT MACHINE OWNERS - If you haven't set up your new software, please do so over the next couple of months ... and definitely before the holidays! You are able to keep both programs on your computer but once you start with the new one, you won't want to go back. So take advantage of any slower times in your business and get it up and running so it's ready when you need it.

THE TAPE IS STILL IMPORTANT - If you open your printer and lift up the foil cartridge, you will see a piece of black tape on the left hand side behind the black rubber roller. That tape covers up the light sensor. As you may recall, with the new software you have disabled the sensor in the setup phase. However, the tape still nedds to be covered to print when you are using the narrow ribbon adapter. That is the small plastic piece that is used for printing a single ribbon less than one inch. (Not to be confused with the Multi Ribbon Adapters.) So keep that tape on!
Please let us know if there are specific topics you'd like to see covered. This is your space to ask, learn, and share.

Happy Printing!
