The Video that Must End Pigeon Shoots:
SHARK to Hold Press Conference this Wednesday in PA State Capitol

ANIMAL PROTECTION ORGANIZATION TO RELEASE VIDEO THAT MUST END PENNSYLVANIA'S LIVE PIGEON SHOOTS

International animal protection organization, SHARK (SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness) is demanding a full and comprehensive criminal investigation.

Harrisburg, PA - Shocking new footage of obscene animal abuse recorded September 30, 2012, at a pigeon shoot held at the Wing Pointe commercial hunting grounds in Hamburg, PA, will be released at a press conference by the animal protection organization SHARK. Video documentation shows shooters laughing and joking during grotesque abuse. Victims were crushed, stomped, and had their heads ripped off.  Pigeons were kicked, swung around, thrown in the air and hurled to the ground. Some of the worst abuse was documented at the hands of young boys.

Date: Wednesday October 10th, 2012
Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Location: Rotunda, Capitol Building, N. 3rd and State St., Harrisburg, PA 17120

"I've exposed animal cruelty for more than 20 years, but this is the worst I've seen," states SHARK Investigator Stuart Chaifetz. "The Pennsylvania State Police and Berks County District Attorney John Adams have refused to enforce the law, and have enabled and emboldened the killers. The abuse today is worse than it was twenty years ago at the infamous Hegins Pigeon Shoot."

SHARK has invited Police Commissioner Noonan, and Berks County District Attorney John Adams to the press conference to explain their inaction against what is clearly illegal animal abuse in violation of PA Humane Law 5511. Also invited is NRA lobbyist John Hohenwarter.  SHARK will give Mr. Hohenwarter an opportunity to explain why the NRA supports and protects such cruel and  illegal activity. SHARK Investigator Stuart Chaifetz will speak about the recent investigation at Wing Pointe along with Pennsylvania Humane Police Officer Johnna Seeton.

In the aftermath of the above mentioned Tower Shoot, SHARK was able to rescue nine wounded pigeons who made it off the Wing Pointe property. One died literally seconds after we picked her up, and the other eight were rushed to get medical care.

SHARK President Steve Hindi and Investigator Stu Chaifetz holding wounded birds they just rescued.

Due to being starved and then shot, four more passed away in the following week.  However, we are proud to announce that four are still alive and doing well.

If not for us being there, on the ground, these birds would have died a slow and painful death.
