Contact Field and Stream for their Support of Pigeon Shooting!

DEAR FRIENDS,

Today was day two of the four-day long pigeon shoot at the Broxton Bridge Plantation in South Carolina.

The local police did their best to harass us and try to impede our efforts, but they failed. We will have more on that soon, but you can see the letter our lawyer sent to the Colleton County sheriff in the following section.

Right now, we are asking that everyone contact the management at Field and Stream and their parent company, Bonnier Corporation, to express outrage that Field and Stream published a blog that both supported pigeon shooting and advocated the illegal shooting down of SHARK's aircraft.

You can read the original article HERE.

Read news coverage of this issue: "Animal rights group criticizes magazine."

The following is a letter that SHARK sent out today to Terry Snow, CEO of the Bonnier Corporation and to all the editorial management of Field and Stream.

Please copy and paste all the following emails for your letter. Please be polite. Let us know if you get a response.

Dear Mr. Snow,

My organization, SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) is video-documenting a cruel and inhumane live pigeon shoot this week at the Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. One of the legal tools SHARK is using is a remote controlled aircraft with a camera attached. We call it an "Angel."

Reacting to news coverage of SHARK's plan, your company, Field and Stream, posted a blog on their website on February 9, 2012,  that advocated for the illegal shooting down of SHARK's aircraft. You can see the entire post here: http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/field-notes/2012/02/activists-film-horrors-sc-pigeon-shoot

"Hmmm, animal-rights activists, a remote-controlled helicopter, and a bunch of guys with shotguns. Now that's a combination with some definite potential for the creation of a brand-new shooting sport. Anyone taking bets on how many loads of 7 1/2s it'll take to send "Angel" crashing to earth?"

Field and Stream advocating the illegal shooting down of private property is both irresponsible and potentially dangerous. SHARK is demanding an apology and retraction from Field and Stream. As the parent company of Field and Stream, we want to know how you are going to deal with this situation.

Sincerely,

Steve Hindi
President, SHARK

Pennsylvania pigeon shooter comes to South Carolin to satiate his bloodlust

The Colleton County police in a confab of the mindless as they try, and fail, to find a way to get rid of SHARK activists. The guy on the left searches in his pocket for more local police to help.

A cowardly pigeon shooter hides his plate - and the police have no problem with it

Kindest Regards,

Steve Hindi and Your SHARK Team
