SHARK Calls on New Jersey Bear Hunter to Apologize

In our last update, we included a picture of a NJ bear hunter and his daughter who killed a mother bear and her cub.

We also relayed how this hunter wrote on a public website that he killed the bear in "honor" of the female lawyer for the Bear Education and Resource Group (BEAR) that filed a lawsuit to stop the hunt. He also made disparaging remarks about other women in the BEAR Group. You can see it all HERE and HERE.

Our updates are posted on our Facebook page. Early Friday morning, a user named "Mark Thomas" claimed to be the hunter in question and posted the following comment on the update thread:

"I look Great in That Pic!! And by the way, I had that bear for dinner last night-she tasted fabulous with a little terryaki marinade and seared on the grill. YUMMMMMMYYYYY!"

When confronted about the fact that he was posting anonymously, he wrote to back to a woman saying:

"Sorry doll, but with your belligerent tone, and the hate filed bile your animal huggy freinds tend to spew-I'll keep it shielded from the likes of you. Ta Ta"

We took that as a challenge to find out who he was. Fifteen minutes later we found him.

His name is Mark T. Hall and he works for the law firm of Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn. You can view his page HERE. Hey Mark - time to update that picture! It must be 20 years old!

If Hall had not posted his rude comment on our Facebook page, we might have never known who he was. We wrote the following email calling for him to apologize and sent it to the partners of Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn.

...

Dear Messrs. Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn,

I am writing to you in regards to one of your associate lawyers, Mark T. Hall.

Doris Lin, Esquire, is the lawyer representing the Bear Education and Resource Group, and she recently filed a lawsuit to stop the New Jersey bear hunt. Mr. Hall, who is a hunter, frequents a website called www.newjerseyhunter.com.  On December 1, a few days before the week long New Jersey Bear hunt was to start, he posted the following comment concerning Ms. Lin in a thread he started titled "HAY DORIS THIS ONE"S FOR YOU".

http://www.newjerseyhunter.com/article116356.htm

"I Promise to Shoot one of the following bears in Your Honor Doris Lin Be sure to check back for pics of the bruin in the back of my truck! Thanks for the Hunt Babe-and by the way you need a new wingman-the girls your hangining, man they just don't ...... well you know"

Mr. Hall's words, according to NewJerseyhunter.com, were posted:  01 Dec 2011 12:17 PM.  December 1 was a Thursday.  If Mr. Hall was at work that day, then this suggests he may have made the post from your premises.  You might want to investigate this.

In that same NewJerseyhunter.com thread, Mr Hall made another comment directed toward Ms. Lin. Mr. Hall posted the following picture of himself and his daughter with a mother bear and cub that they had killed and wrote, "As promised Doris! We doubled up just for you".

My organization, SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) is a vocal opponent of the bear hunt in New Jersey and we take issue with the comments Mr. Hall has made toward Ms. Lin.  We are seeking a full written apology by Mr. Hall to Ms. Lin and to the BEAR Group for the comments he publicly made.

Sincerely

Steve Hindi

Lust at a Cruel, Cowardly Pigeon Shoot

Nearly every time we document animal cruelty at the Wing Pointe canned hunting dump, things happen outside of the shooting that absolutely startle us. Last Sunday was no exception.  Hassis 1

Meet Ken Hassis and KayLynn Hamilton:

As you'll see in this new video we've released on YouTube, there was a little more than just slaughtering innocent animals going on last Sunday!

According to THIS website, KayLynn was married in 2006...but not to Ken Hassis. Oops.

The video must have upset someone, as YouTube got a complaint and age restricted it within hours.

No problem; if you want to see the full, uncensored version, visit PAshame.com or go directly to the video HERE.
