Pools of Blood

The Wing Pointe canned hunting dump in Berks County PA is notorious for the cruel and vile live pigeon shoots held there. The owner of Wing Pointe, Joseph Solana Jr., also owns Carlton Pools. SHARK has protested at Carlton Pools because of this connection, but the ties between Carlton Pools and Wing Pointe go deeper.

When Solana made his "Business Entity Filing" with the State of Pennsylvania, he, as President, listed 415 Constance Dr., Warminster, PA as his address. That's not where he lives; it's the corporate headquarters for Carlton Pools.   That was a strong tie to make between his two businesses.

We also saw the incestuous relationship between these companies when Solana used a Carlton Pools truck to spray liquid manure on the Wing Pointe border, as a means to harass us (that's where we legally stand and film). We caught it all on tape, and you can see it in THIS video.

And don't forget it was Carlton Pools Operations Manager Robert Olsen who pulled a gun on SHARK activists after a peaceful protest.

Because of Solana's linking of Carlton Pools to pigeon shooting at Wing Pointe, he has made Carlton Pools a fair target in this campaign. In order to educate and inform the public about the links Solana has made, we are launching a new website called www.PoolsOfBlood.info

Check it out and let us know what you think.

***There will be another pigeon shoot this Sunday, the 23rd, at Wing Pointe.  If you can help videotape at the entrance, please let us know.  We will be there from early morning until the end of the shoot.***

The PA State Police Fail Again

Last Thursday, SHARK showed up at Wing Pointe for a pigeon shoot they were holding. Thursday shoots are sometimes held for those VIP's who really want to kill a lot of small birds, but don't want to be seen on film, as would happen during one of the regular shoots.

Apparently they weren't expecting us, as we saw when cars leaving the Wing Pointe dump tore out of there (and away from our cameras) as if their pants were on fire (or as if they would be humiliated to be seen k
illing a lot of small birds).

One person really surprised to see us was this guy (on right)
.

Re
cognize him?  He was one of the suspected shooters who, on August 6th, fired at our Angel aircraft that was filming a pigeon shoot.

As he was leaving Wing Pointe, he saw me at the entrance. As any coward worth his salt would do, he ran away. We called the PA State Police and told them that the suspect in the shooting was at Wing Pointe. A trooper arrived a half-hour later, but nothing happened. The suspected shooter's truck was there, but abandoned. The little guy had run away again (twice in one day, so he's really got a yellow streak on his back a mile wide).

That night, we called PA Trooper Koslosky (the original investigator of the shooting incident) and made sure he knew what was going on. It was an interesting conversation in that the Trooper tried to downplay this as being only criminal mischief and not a big deal.

Not a big deal? Someone fires a weapon at personal property and it's mischief? Is this really how low things have gotten in PA?

You can watch the little guy run away in THIS new video and judge for yourself the state of law and disorder in Berks County, PA.

The Shocking Video of a Twisted Pigeon Shooter Gets New Life

At the August 4th pigeon shoot at Wing Pointe, SHARK's caught a pigeon shooter manipulating his genitals in public view, at a pigeon shooting ring, and near where the pigeons were kept.  It was a new low
This is the new poster boy for pigeon shooting
to an already really low and putrid day of slaughter.

We released the video at the end of August, and it's still on YouTube with an uncensored version on www.PAshame.com.

This past Sunday, someone took the uncensored video from PAshame and posted in on LiveLeak.com.  In just the last four days, that video has gotten more than 26,000 views and 578 comments.

Together with the YouTube and PAshame views of the video, more than 50,000 people have now seen what this guy did at a pigeon shoot.

Please forward the video to PA Legislators and ask them to finally ban pigeon shoots and end this horror once and for all!

SHARK Exposes Steer Roping Cruelty

In THIS story from the Kansas City Star, the American Royal rodeo is caught in a controversy over cruel steer roping. SHARK is quoted in the story.

"They run out of that chute, and they are trying to get away," Hindi said of the steers. "Then we cheer over them being clotheslined or dragged, or body slammed or whatever.

"Somehow in our silly minds, we go, 'Yeah, that is our American heritage. Aren't we proud?"

SHARK's videos, posted on YouTube, show at least one steer with its head twisted. Others appear unconscious or with the wind knocked out of them. One cannot get up and is carried off on a cart.Steer Upside Down

YouTube Says Rodeo Videos Too Violent for Children

Rodeos claim to be family entertainment. How interesting it is that YouTube has reclassified some of SHARK's rodeo videos as being too violent for children.

All we are doing is showing exactly what happens at rodeos, so isn't what YouTube is saying is that rodeos themselves are too violent for children?  We would agree on that at least.

Irvine, CA Bans Rodeos!

We are pleased to announce that the City Council of Irvine, California, has passed a wide ranging animal protection bill that "banned retail sales of dogs and cats, rodeos and circuses featuring exotic animals."  Read entire article HERE.

We are especially happy about the rodeo ban - and you can bet that the rodeo supporters, who fought against the bill are running scared.

According to this post on the facebook page of the California High School Rodeo Association, the PRCA (the front group for covering up rodeo cruelty) said that they would have their "folks" at the Council meeting, but thankfully the City Council didn't buy the malarky the PRCA was selling.

The vote was 4-1 in favor of the ban.

This major accomplishment was achieved through the hard work and tireless dedication of three great activists in the Irvine area: Wendy Fears, Valerie Bromberg, and Gail Lewis. Gail states, "We worked over a year on this project and learned a lot on how a city works. I would be more than happy to share my experience with others to accomplish the same thing."

SHARK encourages activists nationwide to step-up and take action for the animals to accomplish what these inspirational activists have done. SHARK provided rodeo documentation and assistance for the rodeo ban and is happy to assist others to accomplish the same for their municipality.

Kindest Regards,

Steve Hindi and Your SHARK Team

"Kindness and compassion towards all living beings is a mark of a civilized society.   Racism, economic deprival, dog fighting and cock fighting, bullfighting and rodeos are all cut from the same fabric: violence.   Only when we have become nonviolent towards all life will we have learned to live well ourselves."   - Cesar Chavez, civil rights and labor leader, founder of the United Farm Workers
