Reflecting back on 2010, we have had a wonderful year and wish to thank all of you for being our guests. We like to think we are all one big happy familly and wish everyone a fabulous 2011!

Best Wishes for a Prosperous 2011! As the New Year begins, we are looking forward to all the fun winter events in the Northwoods. Anytime you would like to see a live view of our weather conditions, just click on our live web cam located at the Bear's Den. Starting this weekend, we will be serving breakfast at the Bear's Den on Saturday and Sunday throughout the snowmobile season. More snow is already in the forecast which will help to rejuvenate our trails. THINK SNOW!
We have some other exciting news - we are now offering Travel Guard insurance to our guests to protect your investment in your vacation. This note from a long-time guest brought tears to our eyes - the family has spent many years with us and the grandmother just recently passed away.
...... You are making me very happy and my mom would be very proud.
Of all the places we stayed in the north woods, she liked Black Bear Lodge best. When she was able, she would walk the grounds and when she wasn't she enjoyed just sitting and watching the scenery from the cabins. She especially liked the bright moon and stars in the evening that she could see from the deck. She was always warm in the cabin and found the furnishings to be very, very comfortable. One of the best times was when you hosted the snowshoe walk. While she didn't use the snow shoes she liked all the activity and hung around in the middle of it even after I left on my walk. I gave her my chits for the ice cream bar and a brat (I think) and she was the happiest person in the world. I even bought her an extra tee shirt to wear. Nice memories indeed. Once again, thanks.
