OverKnight Adventures

Spend a knight in our shining armory.

OverKnight Check-in Be immersed in a unique experience focusing on chivalry, heraldry, and the history of the knights in shining armor.

Our popular OverKnight program is an interactive parent-child adventure perfect for youth groups, scouts, and school groups studying the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Spending the night at Castle Higgins is an exciting enrichment opportunity, especially appropriate for children in grades 1 through 6.

Only have a small group or family but still want to join the fun?  Check out our Open OverKnights, dates set aside just for smaller groups.  We have just a few spots remaining in our May 19th Open Overknight!

 Extreme Sport: The Joust

Now Open

The ground shakes as two warhorses charge. Each knight lowers his lance, a crash of spear on armor, a knight is thrown to the ground, the other rides around the field to the cheering crowd.

  • Experience the joust through our state-of-the-art Virtual Joust video game.
  • See a rare "rental armor" from the 1400s that still bears deep gouges from the impact of opposing lances.
  • Discover the free-for-all "Bridge Game" played in Pisa, Italy.

All this and more as you explore the pageantry of medieval tournament.

Find out more.
