Mobile Outlook
Marketers understand the need to integrate mobile into their multichannel branding, customer acquisition and retention plans.

Trends Emerging:
1. Complementary to other channels, including retail, online, television, print, and radio.

2. Consumer's growing comfort with consuming news and content on mobile phones, (SMS text messages, shopping for products and services, checking email, and searching for retail locations or driving directions).
Greetings!

2008 was the year when mobile media began to catch up with the hype, as both consumers and advertisers embraced mobile technologies like never before.

The true turning point for the industry was the introduction of the smartphone, heightened by Apple's iPhone launch in mid-2007.  The development of third-generation (3G) mobile phones led to better connection speeds, Wi-Fi connectivity and the rise of mobile Internet browsing.

Even marketers are catching up.

In light of the heightened activity and interest, eMarketer forecasts that mobile advertising will rise from $648 million in 2008 to $3.3 billion in 2013.

Mobile Locator Statistics
Over 10% increase week to week!

Mobile Locator (WAP and iPhone) usage for our clients shows a clear trend line of growth, over 10% week to week!

The highest use day is Saturday with Sunday and Friday coming in second and third.

About 50% of the consumers are using a Blackberry and about 30% of the consumers are using an iPhone. This may change over time as we've had the WAP Locator out for a while and the iPhone Locator is relatively new.

One example of a client using both Mobile Locators:

It's hard to get the full affect of the iPhone Locator from a PC link as the iPhone Locator uses the internal mapping of the iPhone so this link doesn't show our driving directions or click to call features. As mentioned before, consumers can add your branded icon to thier iPhone screen for future quick reference from our iPhone Locator.
