Greetings!
The tough economy has motivated consumers to become more resourceful in how they use the Internet to research potential products and services - frugal shoppers are turning to coupons. According to comScore's "State of the US Online Retail Economy: Q3 2008" report, 62% of responding consumers are using coupons to help decrease their expenses. Web sites where consumers can find money-saving coupons enjoyed a 32 percent increase in traffic between October and November 2008, the largest month-to-month increase of 10 measured site categories. According to eMarketer about 0.5% of the coupons sent in the Sunday paper are redeemed, whereas 17% is the average number of online coupons are printed and redeemed. |
