Greetings!,
One of the gifts of our new blog, Bread for the Journey, is how it increases our capacity to put new, free, timely resources in the hands of our members. With contributions from Pax Christi USA Teachers of Peace, Ambassadors of Peace, authors, and others, we can gather together posts from the blog on a similar subject and redesign them in easy downloadable process booklets for small groups.
Today we posted our newest small group process booklet, "Seeds in Good Soil," incorporating 5 reflections from the series of the same name which Pax Christi USA Ambassador of Peace Tom Cordaro wrote for the blog. Each of the five sessions opens with a prayer, followed by reflections which examine the challenges of making Catholic social teaching a constituent part of parish life in the United States, and ends with questions for discussion.
You can access the free PDF download of the process booklet through a link in the introduction to Tom's last reflection in the series (published today) or on our "Local Group Resources" page on the website (it is in the section that begins "Free Small Group Discussion Resources..." about halfway down the page).
If you want to download it directly from this email now, click here.
In addition to this most recent small group process booklet, we also have made Tom's series, "For Now We See in a Mirror, Dimly: An Anti-Racist Critique of Pax Christi USA's Theology and Practice of Nonviolence" available in 5 sessions, and soon we'll be re-packaging Pax Christi International Co-President Marie Dennis' current series on civil discourse and respectful dialogue across differences into a free small group process booklet too.
We hope that these resources are helpful in your work for peace and justice and useful for your local groups and regions.
