About Rugged Tablets  

Rugged Tablet PCs are different from rugged laptops in two primary ways. First, rugged tablets do not have built-in keyboards; they always have a touch-screen display for input and moving the cursor. Second, rugged tablets do not have built-in media drives such as floppy, CD, or DVD drives.  

Rugged Tablet PCs are designed to be lightweight and carried in one hand. They are thus easier to use and handle while on- the move than a rugged laptop which normally requires a surface to set the computer down while in use.
