It is also the first rugged convertible tablet to offer hot-swappable twin batteries, enabling battery replacement without powering the system down.

 

The Toughbook C1 is available with a multi-touch, plus digitizer screen for finger and gesture computing, as well as an electronic stylus for accurate digital input. The Toughbook C1 convertible tablet also has integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and optional Gobi™ 2000 mobile broadband. Other integrated options include a fingerprint reader, SmartCard reader, modem, and webcam. The Toughbook C1 has a unique, durable triple-hinge design that is easy to open and close with one hand - two hinges open and close the screen; and the third hinge rotates the screen into tablet mode.
