Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter. I'd like to once again welcome all our new members that have been joining us over the past week. It brings me great joy to welcome all of you to our growing community of friends and prayer warriors. Our membership has been increasing by dozens every week and it's due in part to the comments spread by our current members. Thank you all and God Bless.

We have posted a new Poll question in the quick links section on black menu bar. Which of the following would you say is the main reason you practice your religion? Take a look and cast your opinion and while you're there, you can check out previous poll questions and the results. And remember, only your vote is shown, not your name.

We've added a few more items to our gift store. So, if you haven't checked out our store lately, please take a look. We've just received some really great news. Charles Gentry, one of our popular Bible Class leaders is returning to lead our Wednesday night class at 8 PM EST in the chat room, which will be followed by our prayer session led by our Sister Faith at 9 PM.

Did you know that as of this week we have posted over 3,000 videos. Do you have a favorite? If it's not posted, go ahead and add your favorite video.

Have you noticed our new special message box that is now posted near the top of the home page? This message changes daily--check it out for special announcements.

Many more changes are coming to our site. As we go through these changes, we will need your feedback and comments on the changes coming through. I welcome your comments and continued support.

The Day I met the Son of God by Joy Chiasson

It was a typical day at college. Nothing new was going on. We went to church as usual. I had been at college for about a year. My daddy, pastor had brought me up believing the right things. And I confessed to have known Jesus since I was 5 years old. But, something was not quite right. I had a head knowledge of Jesus but, the heart seemed to doubt and wonder who Jesus is.

I went through classes on doctrine and memorized scripture just like I was supposed to do but, there was still this missing void. I had all the time in the world to get it right, right? I was just a mere 18 years old and brought up in a very conservative church. You would even call me a church baby. My daddy started preaching a year after I was born. We moved from place to place every 3 to 4 years. So, what seemed to be missing?

I did not have the real understanding of who Jesus is in my life. I did not have the Holy Spirit there inside of my heart convicting me and guiding me. It was a daddy said not to do this or momma said not to do this. The voice of the Holy Spirit who helps us in time of trouble was not there.

What brought me to the realization that I was not really saved? A room mate of mine came back from church with Jesus in her heart and she was totally talking about how she KNOWs without a doubt that she accepted Him and now the Holy Spirit is there. Hmmm, I wondered again and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. You can do all the church ministry you want and even lead others to Christ and not be saved yourself. Yeah, the Gospel is that powerful. For God is able to use anyone to bring a child to Him.

I ran back to the room and down the hall looking for someone to lead to me to Christ. I knew the road but, I was so distraught that I was not saved and I knew I needed help. Sure enough, there was a girl named Theresa down the hall. I told her my story and asked if she could help me. She said I don't know how to lead a person to Christ.

I showed her the road. Then, gently and with tears and remorse of not seeing Him sooner, I bowed my head and sweetly whispered my prayer to God to forgive me of my sins and to come into my heart. Immediately, I jumped up, thanked Theresa and went shouting through the halls and down the stairs to outside my dorm. Letting everyone know I was one of God's children now.

What about you? Do you have doubts that won't go away? Has the people around you convinced you that you are saved and there is no agreement inside of you? It is better to realize that you just did not understand the Gospel and did not realize that He died on the cross for you not just the whole world.

Bible Study Classes and Prayer Meeting

Bible Study is held in the AV Chat Room each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each Saturday we also have a Video prayer and worship session. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 PM EST.

The GFB Prayer Meeting is held each Wednesday at approximately 9:00 PM EST in the AV Chat room.
