Message From Richard

Greetings to all GodFaithBook members!

We are still finalizing some of the details and modules of the software upgrade we did to our site. This was a massive undertaking and is still not fully complete.

Many of the items that you used to see on the right blue menus are now located on our quick links menu.

For example,

  • You will find our monthly poll there, as well as our Sermon and Special days rooms.
  • We also have recently loaded over 50 eBooks that you can download and read at your leisure.
  • Over the next week, we should also have our Ecard module completely active where you can easily send over 50 different eCards to your friends and family.
  • We are also in the process of finishing our updated news section to offer a variety of Christian news sources.
  • Finally - we should have a new Charles Haddon Spurgeon module in the very near future.
As always if you have any ideas about the site, please email me at godsfaithbook@aol.com.

Remember, that this site does not belong to one person, it belongs to all of you. Without YOU, there is no US. Always Dare To Dream.

"Thank You Lord for this day, and for all you have done for us. Lord forgive us our sins, and help us with forgiveness of others. Lord please heal our bodies, minds and hearts, so that we are free and healthy in body, mind and Spirit. Lord may you guide, protect and provide for our family needs. In Jesus name we pray. Amen"

WE ARE IN JESUS HAND SO DONT WORRY HE IS ALWAYS WITH US.  GOD'S GRACE IS WHAT ENABLES YOU TO BELIEVE IN HIM. SO THANK HIM EACH DAY FOR REVEALING HIMSELF TO YOU!

Have a wonderful week!

'God Is Shouting' by Ann Spangler

Flannery O'Connor wrote short stories filled with grotesque characters and violent plots in order to highlight what was distorted and needed forgiving in human life. Her writing was designed to shock, as she admitted, saying, "When you can assume that your audience holds the same beliefs you do, you can relax a little and use more normal ways of talking to it; when you have to assume that it does not, then you have to make your vision apparent by shock-to the hard of hearing you shout, and for the almost blind you draw large and startling figures."

Though the life of Christ is anything but grotesque, it is shocking in many ways. That God would reduce himself to human stature, entering his own creation as an infant cradled in the arms of Jewish peasants, barely able to protect him from a king who tried to murder him. That he would live a simple life as a carpenter and then as a wandering sage. That he would allow himself to be arrested, disgraced, and nailed to a Roman cross like the most wicked of outcasts. That after three days his grave would be empty. Surely, in all of this, God was shouting to a deaf world, drawing a large and startling figure so that the spiritually blind could see.

Who do you know that seems spiritually dull and hard of hearing? Who in your life seems resistant to the gospel? Take a moment now to pray for them. Ask God to open their ears so that they can perceive what the Father is saying through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Member Profile - Alain Blake

Beginning at an early age in my life, I became addicted to alcohol and drugs. My childhood was spent in numerous juvenile facilities until I graduated to the adult system at age 18. Though God blessed me with 4 wonderful boys and a wife who stood by me for 20 years, my devotion remained with alcohol. In April of 2010, I had reached the very bottom of existence and succeeded in ending my life by ingesting 160 sleeping pills. Though I had cheated death many times in my past, I was determined to end my suffering this time. Thankfully, God had other plans and restored my life 2 days later and removed all desire in me to consume alcohol. I have remained sober ever since- April 8, 2010.

Though God transformed my life, years of emotional abuse towards others through alcoholism cost me my marriage and family. Out of my 4 sons, only 1 chooses to communicate with me and allow me to be a part of my grandson's life. My faith tells me that, in time, those relationships will be repaired with my children and forgiveness will come from my ex wife. God has replaced these losses with purpose in my life, in that I may be a testimony to others. I am currently enrolled in school pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice which will place me in a career working with troubled youths. As I have taken from others for many years, it is time I give back!

I have been blessed in many ways since that fatal day in 2010, and have also dealt with turmoil. The main difference between the old Alain and the new Alain is that I know the true power and compassion of God in my life. It is much easier to battle life's issues knowing that Jesus has your back! My hope is that my story brings hope to all who may be on the path to where I've been, and they switch course before it's too late! My final thought is this: "I believe everyone has the opportunity to better themselves through Christ's forgiveness and that no one is beyond hope. I am the perfect example".
Weekly Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, thanks and praise be to You for Your selfless and unconditional love for us, by which You became the blood atonement for our sins and have assured us that whoever believes in You has everlasting life. Strengthen and keep us in this faith, that the real fruits and labors of love may truly abound in our lives as we hope in You alone. Amen.
