Message From Richard

Greetings my brothers and sisters and welcome to our latest edition of Gods Faith Book's weekly newsletter.  I'd like to once again welcome all our new members that have been joining us over the past week.  It brings me great joy to welcome all of you to our growing community of friends and prayer warriors.

Good news.  This  past Saturday,  we've  started to download our new improvements onto the GFB site. The updates will continue over the next two weeks. You will notice changes on both the sign in page and the home page. Prospective new members, when they go to site, will now be able to view some of our main features such as the News Room, Events, Blog  Posts, Group Posts and Bible Study section. They will not be able to enter chat room or play games until they join.  We've done this to give prospective members a taste of the site before joining.

You will also notice changes on the look of the Home page.  The page is much cleaner and images are sharper. The menu on top of home page is now Black instead of Green.  You can click on function same as before to get into various activities.

The side menu bar has also been removed. That is being changed and will be moved to another spot which will include, the Sermon Room, the Poll Question, the Email greeting cards and several other rooms.

The Group problems have been fixed. You can now post again in group section. You can also now scroll down to bottom of group page and go click on other pages to check out other groups in system.

The Blog section has been one of our most popular activities. You can post comments on various blogs, but  in order to post your own blog, you will to already have a blog set up and then send us your link and we will hook up RSS Feed and Blog will automatically start posting every time you add a new blog.

Please also note that if you go to your profile button on home page and scroll down to privacy, you will see a list of emails that you can receive or elect not to receive.  Make sure the boxes are checked off for emails you want to receive and unchecked for those you would rather not receive.

We have recently received complaints from some members about being bounced off site, early. That problem has been addressed and fixed. The site is now set for 90 minutes of user time. That means if you are on site without leaving for 90 minutes you will be bounced off. You will then have to re sign on again.

Any time you make changes, there are bound to be some problems. Please let us know immediately about any problems you are having.

Our virtue mart gift store is still about 2 weeks away from completion. Keep watching for some new and exciting gifts that you can purchase for  yourself, family or friends.

As we go through these changes, we will need your feedback and comments on the changes coming through. I welcome your comments and continued support.

Our,  " prayer in a bottle" program that I discussed in a previous newsletter, is still on schedule and ready to  be released into the ocean in August.  We have received several hundred prayers that we are going to place in a large empty water bottle and will be releasing the bottle into the Atlantic Ocean in August.  If you haven't already sent in your prayers, please email them to me at: mornstar100@aol.com before August 1, so that we will be able to seal them in our prayer bottle.  Keep checking the home page on GFB for more information on launch date.

Bible Class will be held tonight in our new and improved Chat Room at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time led by our dear Sister Faith.  Join us tonight and if it's your first time with us, let us know and we will send you a FREE 402 page King James Version of  the Bible. If you have already received your Bible, just let us know and we will send you an angel or praying hands pin.

Remember, that this site does not belong to one person, it belongs to all of you. Without YOU, there is no US. Always Dare To Dream.

"Thank You Lord for this day, and for all you have done for us. Lord forgive us our sins, and help us with forgiveness of others. Lord please heal our bodies, minds and hearts, so that we are free and healthy in body, mind and Spirit. Lord may you guide, protect and provide for our family needs. In Jesus name we pray. Amen"

As for me, I will call upon God,

And the LORD shall save me.

Evening and morning and at noon

I will pray, and cry aloud,

And He shall hear my voice.

He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me.
Psalm 55:16-18

'Googling' the Gospel by Russ Bravo

How do you connect to people? It's a question I've been thinking about increasingly in recent days, as life gets more hectic and the pressures of work make time ever more precious.

As with so many things, the internet can be a blessing or a curse. It can deliver information to our fingertips at the click of a mouse, give us access to knowledge, understanding, entertainment and much more at very modest cost - and help us communicate faster, wider and more creatively than ever before.

But we all know some of the downsides: pornography, paedophiles, junk e-mail, 'phishing' scams where crooks try to hijack your bank account. It can also be addictive, divide families and lure many into gambling habits and more.

Too much time online can see you neglecting family relationships. Yet interest groups via e-mail, hobby websites, instant messaging and more can see you make plenty of new friends. And the constant interaction can see you feel you know these people better than many you see day to day.

Relationships need time, and they need regular feeding. In our stopwatch lifestyles, leisurely conversation is a prized gem that so often seems just out of reach. Even texting and instant messaging can so often be just brief exchanges of information.

So it's good news that many of those leading the way in the online Christian community are promoting an Internet Evangelism Day focus day on 15 May. They offer churches downloadable resources to enable them to create their own web awareness program - a focus day to inform and envision their members. Increasingly, the world's population is getting online.

It is a massive harvest field of seeking, searching people. Behind many of the searches on Google, the world's biggest search engine, are people looking for meaning, purpose, hope, community. Yet the vast majority of all Christian and church websites are for our benefit, not theirs.

It is an honor to be asked to be in the GFB Newsletter. Well I was born on September 28, 1973 at USAF Hospital, at Beale Air Force Base in California (I was told that it is in or near Marysville California) to a Mr. and Mrs. Roy Snow. I don't know how long I was there before we moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where my parents separated. My mother moved back with her parents in Ohio and my father followed shortly after that. They got back together and they moved to Delaware where I have lived most of my life. Somehow during that time my father had gotten out of the service full time, but than went back in the reserves. I grew up in a town called Middletown Delaware where I had eventually met my future husband.

My family was not a Christian family and I did go to Middletown Baptist Church from time to time but never on a full time basis. My first exposure to the Bible was at a Bible Vacation School. The family across the street was having one in their front yard and I was fascinated with the colors of the rainbow. They had a picture of a rainbow on a posterboard. I went home to ask if I could join and we didn't have much money so my mother was concerned about the cost. Later that night I asked my friend and he said it didn't cost anything. So the next day my mother let me go, but I was disappointed because it was the last day for the Bible School. They were talking about Noah and I learnt how we had gotten rainbows. So again I went on and off but nothing that really stuck.

I eventually graduated high school and got a job at Western Auto where I met my future husband. He was married at the time with a four year old daughter, but they were having marital problems and they eventually separated and she took Ericka down to Florida with her. Eddie and I started living together, this was in 1993 and in 1994 we moved to North Carolina. My husband was a Christian, but he fell off the band wagon or backslid for awhile there. I gave my heart to Jesus on December 24, 1995, in February 1996 my husband started the divorce procedures and July 2, 1996 we were married. I was an infant in Christianity for a long time (not realizing this until recently) I read my Bible everyday, but was still going to church on and off never really finding one that we liked.

My son William was born on June 8, 2002 and we had obtained custody of Ericka in 2003. We found a church where I was baptized in 2004 and we dedicated William. (I don't remember the church name) Ericka and Nick married and moved to Alaska where they now reside with two children, son Gabriel 6 and daughter Rayna 1. We moved back to Delaware where we now reside. I started working at Wal-mart and have been there for 5 years and Eddie works at Wal-mart and has been there for 4 years.

I went to an online college for Accounting and graduated with a 3.75 GPA, but still can't find a job in that field. After I graduated in 2010 I really started studying the Word more and more. We still haven't found a good church (so pray that we do soon), but I was looking on the internet for a good Christian facebook and found Gods Faithbook. I joined April 27, 2011 and never looked back. I have learned so much from Pastor Brenda and Pastor Gentry and especially our dear Faith. Sometimes I consider Gods Faithbook my church, but nothing will replace one on one teachings from a live person Pastor. Now I can't live without going on Gods Faithbook (it must be a sickness). I am still a work in progress, but the Lord has shown me so much stuff in the last year and half and I am like a sponge soaking it up. Can't wait for the next lesson. Yours in Christ, Tammy L. Harrison

Weekly Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, throughout human history You have heard the cries of Your people for mercy, deliverance, forgiveness, and salvation. Hear our cries as well on behalf of all of Your dear people of faith. Have mercy on all and deliver us from our difficult circumstances. We pray all of this in Your strong Name. Amen.
